Orders

Magento 2 Order Extensions handle what happens after the purchase: correcting orders, processing returns, showing status, tracking shipments, assigning numbers, exporting data and archiving old stock. On this page you find 15 modules for businesses, set up personally by Mironsoft in your shop. The overview below shows prices and purpose, and the text after it helps with the selection.

What do Magento 2 Order Extensions do, and what do they not do?

Magento 2 Order Extensions cover the part of the shop that begins after the click on "Buy": the order itself, its number, its status, its correction, the return, the shipment and finally the filing. The standard Magento admin shows orders in a grid and allows cancellation, invoice, shipment and credit memo. For everyday cases such as a wrong house number, a return with a label or an order that vanished, quite a lot is missing there. These are the gaps the 15 modules of this category close.

What Magento 2 Order Extensions are not: they replace neither your merchandise management system nor your bookkeeping, and they change the customer purchase flow only where a module explicitly says so, for example the comment field or additional order fields. If you want to adapt invoices, delivery notes and PDF layouts, look at the category Documents; for work on the payment step, see Checkout & Cart.

The Magento 2 Order Extensions are not a download. Mironsoft sets them up personally in your shop, the offer is for businesses, and payment is by invoice or prepayment. Every extension has its own price, listed in the overview table below and taken directly from the product page. This page helps you find out which Magento 2 Order Extensions fit your order process and which ones you can safely skip.

Which Magento 2 Order Extensions are the most important ones?

Not every shop needs all 15 modules. These six extensions from the Magento 2 Order Extensions solve the tasks that cost the most time in daily work.

Turn returns into one process

Mironsoft RMA replaces email traffic with requests in the customer account, including reason, desired solution and status (from EUR 299).

Change orders afterwards

Mironsoft Edit Order corrects address, quantity or items without cancelling and re-creating, as long as no invoice exists (from EUR 229).

Find lost orders

Mironsoft Missing Orders makes gaps in the number sequence visible and creates the order afterwards on request (from EUR 229).

Keep the grid tidy

Mironsoft Order Archive moves old orders into an archive by status and schedule, without data loss (from EUR 179).

Fewer questions about shipping

Mironsoft Order Status Tracking shows customers the state of their shipment in the account, with tracking number and carrier (from EUR 199).

Numbers by your scheme

Mironsoft Custom Order Number assigns custom formats for order, invoice, shipment and credit memo (from EUR 149).

The remaining nine of the Magento 2 Order Extensions are specialists for smaller tasks that still come up daily in some shops. They appear in the following chapters and in the table with all prices.

How do Magento 2 Order Extensions correct orders afterwards?

A typo in the street, a quantity the customer changes on the phone, a forgotten item: such corrections happen in every shop. Without an add-on, you are often left with cancelling the order and creating it again. With Mironsoft Edit Order (from EUR 229) you edit items, quantities, shipping and billing address, customer data, customer group, shipping method and payment method directly in the admin. Individual prices per line are possible too. After every change, the module recalculates totals and taxes.

The decisive point concerns orders that have already been invoiced. There, critical changes to items and prices are blocked by default, and shipping and payment method can only be changed while no invoice exists yet. Every change goes into a log with before and after value, showing who changed which value and when. The product data calls this "designed with GoBD in mind". That does not mean the module takes the tax assessment off your hands. Clarify the use with your tax advisor beforehand, this is a hint and not legal advice.

A related case are orders your own team creates in the admin, for example after a phone call. For this there is Mironsoft Admin Payment Method (from EUR 129). It provides a payment method that never shows up in the frontend checkout and can only be chosen when an order is created manually. Optionally, an invoice and a shipment are created automatically on order receipt, use can be limited to certain countries, and in the admin grid you filter by this payment method. That way you do not have to misuse a regular payment method when someone orders by phone.

How do Magento 2 Order Extensions organize returns and RMA?

Returns are where email traffic gets messy fast. Mironsoft RMA (from EUR 299) moves the process into a fixed workflow. The customer files the request in the customer account, directly on the order, picks a reason from your own list and the desired solution. The options are refund, exchange or credit. If they like, they return only single items, and they attach photos or PDFs right to the request.

On your side, you see every request with reason, solution and status in one place. You define reasons and statuses freely, so the process follows your real workflow and not the other way round. Return windows and conditions are set per rule, return policies even per product. If someone calls in, you create the return on behalf of the customer. Every status change sends an email from customizable templates.

After approval, the module generates the return label automatically and sends it by email, including a tracking code. If you have several warehouses, you store several return addresses. Completed requests can be exported as CSV. The product data does not state that the module triggers the refund itself, so keep planning the credit memo booking in your usual process. If you would rather offer store credit than a payout, you will find matching modules under Customers & Account.

How do Magento 2 Order Extensions make the order status traceable?

Magento ships with a fixed list of order statuses. For pre-orders, made-to-order production or partial deliveries it rarely suffices. Mironsoft Order Status (from EUR 149) creates as many custom statuses as you like, names them freely and assigns each to an existing order state. On every change the customer automatically gets an email, and the status appears in the customer account. Labels can be translated per store view, and the order in the selection dropdown can be sorted freely.

For your team, the view of the grid counts. Mironsoft Admin Order Status Color (from EUR 79) colors the whole row per order status, using an RGB color picker or predefined palettes. In addition, an age warning marks orders older than the number of days you set. The module works in the backend only and does not touch the frontend. It colors standard and custom statuses alike, so together with the status module you get a traffic light system for your processes.

After shipping, the customer starts asking "Where is my parcel?". Mironsoft Order Status Tracking (from EUR 199) answers that in the customer account. Your staff enter the tracking number in the admin and create the shipment, after which the customer sees the data in a clear table. Guests track their shipment with order number and email address, and a progress display shows the stages. Optionally an SMS with the tracking ID goes out, which can cause costs at the SMS provider. As carriers, the product description names Bluedart, USPS, Delhivery, Trackon and ShipRocket, among others. Check before buying whether your carrier is among them or whether an adaptation becomes necessary.

How do Magento 2 Order Extensions find orders that never reached the backend?

This case is rare but expensive: the customer paid and saw a confirmation, yet nothing is in the admin. Mironsoft Missing Orders (from EUR 229) looks for exactly these gaps. Magento reserves an order number when checkout starts. If the process breaks off afterwards, for instance through a payment provider error, a server timeout or a bug, the number stays unused. The module detects the difference between the reserved ID and the completed order.

Each gap found appears in its own admin grid with email, name, IP address, date and amount. The grid can be sorted and filtered like any standard grid, a detail page shows the captured raw data, and a CSV export supports bookkeeping. With one click you create the order afterwards. It then disappears from the list and appears in the normal order grid. The admin is notified by email as soon as a new missing order shows up.

Detection runs at system level and is therefore independent of the payment provider. The checkout itself stays unchanged, the module only works in the background. Worth knowing: it finds gaps in the number sequence and creates the order from the captured data. Whether and when the payment actually arrived at the provider you still verify with your payment service provider.

Archive, delete or correct: what do Magento 2 Order Extensions offer for old data?

Three modules of the Magento 2 Order Extensions intervene in existing orders, each with a different risk. The comparison uses only statements from the product pages.

TaskModuleProtectionReversible
Hide old stockMironsoft Order ArchiveComplete order, invoice and customer data stay intactYes, via "Unarchive"
Remove spam and testsMironsoft Delete OrdersInvoiced orders excluded by default, log shows deletionsNo, deletion is final
Fix mistakesMironsoft Edit OrderCritical changes blocked on invoiced orders, change logTraceable through the log

Mironsoft Order Archive (from EUR 179) selects orders by status, for example On Hold, Completed, Closed, Cancelled or Processing, and runs hourly, daily, weekly or monthly via cron. If you want, you can additionally delete archived orders for good, and an email reports every archiving run. The product data calls it a less risky complement to Mironsoft Delete Orders (from EUR 149), which deletes individually or by mass action, is open only to authorized admin roles and removes related shipment and credit memo data. The invoicing protection of Delete Orders can be switched off, which according to the product description happens with a warning and at your own responsibility. For retention periods the rule is: ask your tax advisor before removing anything permanently.

How do Magento 2 Order Extensions add your own details to order data?

Some information belongs to the order and not to the customer account: a desired date, a gate code for the driver, a note on packaging. Mironsoft Order Comments (from EUR 129) adds an optional free text field to the checkout. Title, maximum character count and default state (open or collapsed) are set in the backend, and the title can differ per store view. The text appears in the sales grid, in the full order view, in the confirmation email and in the order PDF. Whether it is also visible under "My Orders" is a separate switch.

If a single text field is not enough, Mironsoft Order Attributes (from EUR 179) helps. It offers 7 field types, from text through date and yes/no to dropdown, checkbox and radio. Each field gets a label, a default value and, if wanted, a required marker with its own error message. It appears in the shipping or payment area of the checkout, in the grid, in the order view, on the PDF invoice and in the email. Display conditions show a field only for a particular shipping method, and scope can be set per store view and customer group.

A third building block is the number itself. With Mironsoft Custom Order Number (from EUR 149) you build your own format from placeholders for day, month, year, store ID, counter and random characters, separately for order, invoice, shipment and credit memo. Start, step and leading zeros are freely selectable, and the counters run independently per store view. An automatic reset (daily up to yearly) or a click in the admin sets them back, handy for systems that start at 1 every year.

How do Magento 2 Order Extensions get order data into bookkeeping and ERP?

Nobody likes retyping orders for further processing. Mironsoft Export Order (from EUR 179) exports orders as CSV, singly from the order view or as a bulk export via the grid. The export contains customer, line item, payment and shipping data, plus invoice, shipment and credit memo numbers, coupon codes and discount amounts. You include tax amounts with or without calculation. Filters by status, period and customer group narrow the set, and a cron export runs at fixed times without a click. We adapt the column mapping to the format of your ERP or accounting system.

The view onto the data comes from Mironsoft Order History (from EUR 149). On the customer detail page you see the customer's order history, in the product form the buyers of this product, each with quantity, SKU and item status. Filters and sorting save scrolling, CSV and XML serve the export. The module is a pure read view and never changes order data. Three switches hide the view on the customer page, in the orders tab and on the product page individually, and a store view filter helps with multi-shop operation.

For a running connection to a merchandise management system, a CSV export is not always enough. In that case we look at an ERP interface or, if no suitable function exists, a custom extension. The export of the Magento 2 Order Extensions is a sensible start if file exchange suffices.

How do Magento 2 Order Extensions make work in the admin easier?

Many delays in support come from small things: which product was that again? Mironsoft Product Images Order View (from EUR 89) adds the product image to the order view. A click opens the enlarged view, and without an external JavaScript library, using Alpine.js. You set width and height of the thumbnail, no per-product upkeep is needed, and the frontend stays untouched. The module can be switched off at any time without losing data.

All Magento 2 Order Extensions work in the same area, namely the sales part of the admin panel. For several modules, rights can be restricted via admin roles, and for archiving and deletion this is explicitly provided. If you want to reorganize roles and menus as a whole, you will find further extensions under Admin & Backend.

Which modules fit which use case?

Instead of searching by function, it is better to start with the question of what really goes wrong in your shop. These scenarios show which of the Magento 2 Order Extensions fit.

Returns and RMA

Return requests, labels, partial returns and proof upload are bundled by Mironsoft RMA. Exporting completed cases helps with evaluation.

Order correction

Before the invoice, you edit address, quantity and items with Mironsoft Edit Order. For phone orders, Mironsoft Admin Payment Method joins in.

Archiving and cleaning up

Mironsoft Order Archive hides old stock, Mironsoft Delete Orders removes spam and tests. The two are not the same, see the comparison table above.

Status tracking

Custom statuses (Mironsoft Order Status), colored rows (Mironsoft Admin Order Status Color) and shipment state (Mironsoft Order Status Tracking) cover three viewpoints.

Traceability

Who changed what? The log of Mironsoft Edit Order and Mironsoft Delete Orders and the pure read view of Mironsoft Order History answer that.

Extra details and numbers

Customer notes are captured by Mironsoft Order Comments, structured fields by Mironsoft Order Attributes, and document numbers are controlled by Mironsoft Custom Order Number.

A shop with a few orders a day often gets by with two or three Magento 2 Order Extensions. Only with many returns, several languages or fixed accounting requirements does a larger combination pay off.

How do Magento 2 Order Extensions work together with documents, checkout, admin and customers?

Orders touch almost every other area of your shop, so the Magento 2 Order Extensions are rarely the only construction site. They connect with documents through extra fields and comments that appear on PDF invoices and confirmations. Design and content of these documents belong to the category Documents, while the order modules supply the data.

With the checkout, the extensions share the interface: comment field and order attributes appear in the payment process, the hidden admin payment method deliberately does not. Here a look at Checkout & Cart is worthwhile, so that fields and payment modules do not get in each other's way. Toward customers, status and shipment tracking interlock in the account, and complementary extensions for login, wishlist and credit are under Customers & Account.

All modules on this page are part of the larger range of Magento extensions. The overview Magento 2 Extensions shows the other categories, and in Admin & Backend you find the tools for roles and upkeep.

What should you check before buying Magento 2 Order Extensions?

These five questions spare you wrong purchases among the Magento 2 Order Extensions. You can settle them in half an hour with your team.

  • Which problem really occurs?

Count how often per month orders are corrected, returns are handled or status questions are answered. A module pays off where work arises regularly.

  • Does your accounting set requirements?

Before Edit Order, Delete Orders and Order Archive, clarify with your tax advisor what may be changed, archived or deleted. The modules' protection features are an aid, not a clearance.

  • Which role may do what?

Decide which admin roles may edit, delete or archive. The fewer people hold the rights, the easier it is to keep an overview.

  • Do your theme and your carrier fit?

Check the badges in the table and ask about your carrier for shipment tracking. For Hyvä shops we agree on the display beforehand.

  • Which data goes where?

For the export we need the target format of your ERP or accounting system, for number ranges your desired scheme. With these details the setup runs without follow-up questions.

The answers also help with the sequence. Start with the one of the Magento 2 Order Extensions that saves the most manual work, and add later what turns out to be a gap in daily operation.

What does "GoBD-aware" mean for order modules, and what not?

The protection functions in Edit Order, Delete Orders and Order Archive are an aid. They are not legal advice.

The product pages of Mironsoft Edit Order and Mironsoft Delete Orders describe the concept like this: in Germany, invoices and other accounting records are subject to GoBD retention duties. That is why the modules protect invoiced orders from changes and deletion by default. This is a preset and can be switched off explicitly in Delete Orders.

What the modules do not do: they do not check whether your archiving suffices for tax purposes, and they replace no procedure documentation. Whether an order may be changed, archived or deleted is something you decide with your tax advisor. For mandatory information in the shop, read the category Legal.

How do selection and rollout of Magento 2 Order Extensions work?

The Magento 2 Order Extensions are not download files for self-installation. Buying is a commission, and the offer is aimed at businesses.

01

Clarify the need

You note the three most annoying tasks around orders and assign a module to each using the scenario cards.

02

Select and order

You order the modules on the respective product page. Payment is by invoice or prepayment, and you do not receive a download link.

03

Coordinate

Mironsoft gets in touch and clarifies the details, such as protection rules for invoiced orders, archiving schedules, export columns or status names.

04

Set up and check

The module is installed and configured personally in your shop. Afterwards, test with a few test orders before your team works with it. For ongoing operation, the maintenance packages are available.

If you miss a function, we can look at a custom extension. For setup and operation, the maintenance and support service offers ongoing help, and prices at a glance are under Pricing. If you plan a complete shop, see Webshop with Magento. More Magento 2 Order Extensions and extensions from all areas are shown on the Magento 2 Extensions overview.

Frequently asked questions about order modules

What are Magento 2 order extensions?

They are extensions for everything that happens to an order after the purchase: correction, return, status, shipment tracking, numbers, export and archive. This category holds 15 modules by Mironsoft.

Can I change an order after the invoice has been created?

With Edit Order, critical changes to items and prices of invoiced orders are blocked by default. That is by design, but it does not replace coordination with your tax advisor.

What is the difference between Order Archive and Delete Orders?

Archived orders keep all their data and can be brought back. Deleted orders are gone for good, and invoiced orders are excluded from that by default.

How are returns handled with the RMA module?

The customer files the request in the account and picks reason and solution (refund, exchange, credit), and after your approval the return label goes out by email.

Does Missing Orders find orders regardless of the payment provider?

Yes, detection works at system level and looks for gaps between reserved and completed order numbers. You still verify payment receipt with the provider.

Do the modules work with Hyvä?

Seven carry the badge Hyvä Ready, the others are marked Magento 2.4.x. We clarify the display for your theme before setup.

Which carriers does shipment tracking support?

The product description names Bluedart, USPS, Delhivery, Trackon and ShipRocket, among others. Ask about your carrier before buying.

Can number ranges be kept separate per language?

Yes, Custom Order Number keeps independent counters per store view. An automatic or manual reset is possible.

Do I get the modules as a download?

No. Mironsoft sets up every module personally in your shop. The offer is for businesses, and payment is by invoice or prepayment.
