Magento 2 Order Mass Actions: bulk work directly in the order grid
Anyone who wants to work through many orders in Magento 2 quickly hits the limits of the default grid, which offers only a few mass actions. The Mass Order Actions module from Mironsoft adds status changes with a comment, combined PDFs for packing slips and invoices, resending emails and notes. Before each action the orders are checked, afterwards a report shows what worked and what did not.
Change status in bulk
Selected orders receive a new status, optionally with a comment and customer notification.
Combined PDF print
Packing slips, invoices or credit memos of many orders end up in a single PDF file.
Resend emails
Order, invoice and shipment confirmations are sent again to the customers in one run.
Add a comment
An internal or visible comment is attached to all selected orders.
Check transitions
Status changes that are not allowed are detected beforehand and skipped instead of causing errors.
Permission per action
Every mass action has its own permission, so roles only see the actions released for them.
Why Magento 2 order mass actions save time and avoid mistakes
With 20 orders a day you open each one separately. With 200 it becomes a full-time job. Shipping day, incoming payments or a supply bottleneck often affect whole groups of orders that all need the same step. Merchants therefore search for Magento 2 order mass actions, for ways to bulk update the order status, or for combined PDFs to print.
With Magento 2 order mass actions you save clicks and avoid mistakes caused by forgetting an order. The check of status transitions makes sure nothing invalid happens, and the report tells you which orders were skipped.
Change the order status in bulk with Magento 2 order mass actions and checks
You select orders in the grid, choose the action Change status and the target status. Optionally you enter a comment and decide whether the customer is notified. The module checks for every order whether the change is allowed in the status flow. Cancelled, fully closed or locked orders are skipped and listed in the report. Custom statuses from the status module are available for selection as well.
- Target status, comment and notification selectable
- Status flow checked for every order
- Skipped orders listed with the reason in the report
Combined PDF for packing slips, invoices and credit memos
Printing is part of Magento 2 order mass actions as well. Instead of opening each document separately, you create one PDF file from the selection. You choose the document type, and the module merges all existing documents of the selected orders. If an order has no such document, it is named in the report. With large selections the creation runs in the background, and the download appears afterwards as a notification in the admin.
- Packing slip, invoice or credit memo as combined PDF
- Missing documents are named in the report
- Large selection: background processing via cron
Send emails and comments in bulk
Email dispatch belongs to Magento 2 order mass actions too. After a system outage or a faulty template, confirmations often have to go out again to many customers. With the mass action you resend order, invoice or shipment emails for the selection, with a pause between the emails so that your mail server is not overloaded. An additional comment can be attached to all orders in one step, internal or visible to the customer.
- Order, invoice and shipment email selectable
- Pause between emails adjustable
- Comment internal or visible to the customer
Result report and permissions: control over every mass action
Magento 2 order mass actions end with a report: after each action it shows success or the reason for rejection per order. Every mass action is logged with date, admin user, action and number. Through the admin roles you release actions one by one, for example so that warehouse staff can only print and accounting can only set statuses. An upper limit for the number of selected orders protects against accidental huge runs.
- Report per order with success or reason
- Log with admin user and number
- Permission per action, upper limit adjustable

Difference to order grid extension, status module and automatic invoicing
The Better Order Grid module extends columns, filters and export of the grid, whereas Magento 2 order mass actions apply actions to the selected rows. The status module creates custom order statuses, and automatic invoicing creates documents without any action. Mass Order Actions uses existing statuses and documents and triggers the action on your command.
All modules can be combined. The mass actions appear in the existing order grid without replacing the area.
No download — personal setup instead
