Checkout & Cart

Magento 2 Checkout Extensions make sure the cart and checkout give your customers the answers before they ask: what shipping costs, when the goods arrive and what else belongs to the order. This page lists 10 modules for businesses, which Mironsoft sets up personally in your shop. The overview below shows prices and purpose, and the text after it helps you choose.

Checkout & Cart

10 Item(s)

What do Magento 2 Checkout Extensions do?

Magento 2 Checkout Extensions cover the stretch between the first click on "Add to cart" and the order confirmation. Magento ships with a cart, a checkout and a success page. That is enough to sell. What is missing are the details your business model demands: a free shipping threshold, shipping costs per item, a surcharge for cash on delivery, a concrete delivery date or a field for a construction site reference.

The ten modules among the Magento 2 Checkout Extensions fall into four jobs. First, cart convenience: adding faster, changing faster, reordering faster. Second, clarity on costs and delivery: shipping threshold, shipping costs, fees, delivery date. Third, the details at checkout and afterwards: extra fields and the success page. Fourth, recovery: reminders for carts that were not completed.

What these Magento 2 Checkout Extensions do not do: they replace no payment method and no payment provider, and they do not rebuild the checkout from scratch. They add to individual points. Also, none of the modules is a download. Mironsoft sets up each one personally in your shop, the offer is for businesses, and payment is by invoice or prepayment. The table further down shows all 10 modules with price and badges.

Why does the checkout decide whether a purchase succeeds?

By the time of the cart, a customer has accepted your range, your prices and your brand. A different test then begins: is everything clear about what happens next? What does shipping really cost, when does the order arrive, where do I enter my reference number, and what will I see after clicking "Buy"?

At this point purchases rarely fail because of the product, but because of uncertainty: a fee that only shows up in the last step, a delivery promise without a date, a form in which the important detail has no place. Each of these gaps can be closed individually, without redesigning the whole checkout.

That is why Magento 2 Checkout Extensions are usually small, targeted interventions. Begin with an honest question: where do your customers ask support, where does your team correct orders by hand, and which piece of information is missing at the moment of decision? The answers show which of the ten modules are worth it. We deliberately give no abandonment figures, because they depend on industry, range and traffic and cannot be predicted reliably.

Which Magento 2 Checkout Extensions make the cart more convenient?

Three modules deal with how customers put products into the cart, change things there and, when needed, order a whole list at once. This comparison helps you choose the right Magento 2 Checkout Extensions.

Adding without a page change

Your customers browse categories and search results and should stay there. That is what Mironsoft Ajax Add To Cart is for, with mini cart update and success popup.

The cart as a side panel

Quantity, removal and voucher should be reachable without losing the category page. Mironsoft Mini Cart does that as a slide-in panel.

Ordering with SKU and CSV

Your repeat buyers know the article numbers and do not want to click through categories. Here Mironsoft Quick Order offers autocomplete and CSV upload.

All three Magento 2 Checkout Extensions carry the badge Hyvä Ready. According to the product descriptions, the first two run on Alpine.js and load no additional external JavaScript library. We clarify whether the combination fits your theme before setup. On the topic of Hyvä, read the page Hyvä Themes.

How do Ajax add to cart, mini cart and quick order work together as Magento 2 Checkout Extensions?

Mironsoft Ajax Add To Cart (from EUR 129) makes sure the product lands in the cart without the page reloading. Unlike many solutions that only work on the product detail page, it also works on category pages, in search and in widgets, according to the description. You decide per page type where it is active. The cart icon in the header updates at once, a success popup shows the image and name of the product and can optionally suggest matching extra products. Configurable products get a short option selection before they are added.

Mironsoft Mini Cart (from EUR 179) is the second station. A click on the icon opens a panel from the side. There customers change the quantity, remove items, redeem a voucher code and go straight to checkout with a dedicated button. The voucher field and the totals display can be hidden independently in the admin, and optionally the drawer opens automatically after adding. Combine both Magento 2 Checkout Extensions and you get one continuous flow: button click, confirmation, panel, checkout.

Mironsoft Quick Order (from EUR 179) serves a different type of customer. The form is meant for buyers who know exactly what they need: type an SKU or product name, pick a hit, set a quantity. Any number of rows is possible, and a whole list can be uploaded as CSV. Special and tier prices appear right in the form, and a button leads to checkout without a detour through the normal cart. The form appears as a popup or as its own page, and a sticky button makes it reachable from every page. It can be enabled for everyone, for selected customer groups or for guests.

How do Magento 2 Checkout Extensions make shipping costs and the free shipping threshold visible?

For shipping costs, the Magento 2 Checkout Extensions offer two approaches that complement each other: show customers how close they are to the free shipping threshold, and map the shipping costs themselves more precisely.

Mironsoft Free Shipping Bar (from EUR 149) is the first approach. The bar shows live how much is missing until free shipping and updates on every cart change without a reload. It can be used on the home page, category, search, cart, product page or in checkout. The threshold is set centrally, the calculation can include or exclude tax, and for international shops the value adapts to the currency. A delay timer prevents the bar from flashing up immediately, the device target allows mobile, desktop or both, and certain products or categories can be excluded from the amount. When the threshold is reached, your own success text appears.

Mironsoft Shipping Per Product (from EUR 199) is the second approach. Instead of a single shipping method for the whole shop, you enter in the product form what shipping of exactly this item costs, as a flat rate or per piece. Products without their own rule use the default rate. If several items with their own rate are in the cart, you decide whether the lowest, the highest or the sum of all rates applies. A minimum and maximum price for the whole order, a handling fee, the selection of certain countries and a custom error text are included as well. For many products there is a CSV import.

Two limits are worth knowing. The shipping bar displays the threshold, it does not define it: which shipping method is free from which amount remains your decision. And shipping costs per product are an additional shipping method that you configure deliberately. For both Magento 2 Checkout Extensions we agree on the rules with you before launch.

When do extra fees make sense in Magento 2 Checkout Extensions, and how do they stay transparent?

Some costs do not belong in the product price: packaging for fragile goods, express, cash on delivery or a surcharge for small orders. Among the Magento 2 Checkout Extensions, Mironsoft Extra Fee (from EUR 229) covers exactly these cases.

Fees are created as a rule in the admin grid and apply to single products, whole categories, a shipping method or a payment method. They can be calculated fixed, as a percentage or per piece. A condition can be tied to a minimum or maximum order value, and a separate condition is possible for selected customer groups. Tax treatment can be set per fee. The module supports simple, configurable, bundle and grouped products, and fees are configurable independently per store view.

Transparency is the decisive part. According to the product description, each fee appears as its own named line in cart, checkout and mini cart, before the payment method is finally chosen. After the purchase it also shows on the invoice and PDF invoice, without rework in accounting.

The module carries the badge Magento 2.4.x but not Hyvä Ready, so we check the checkout display together with you. Whether surcharges are permitted, in what amount, and how they must be shown is a legal question that the operator has to check. You will find hints in the category Legal. This is not legal advice.

How do Magento 2 Checkout Extensions show a concrete delivery date instead of "3 to 5 working days"?

A date is more tangible than a range. Mironsoft Estimated Delivery Date (from EUR 199) calculates it from a fixed period or a date range and takes three things into account: a cut-off time after which orders count only from the next day, the exclusion of weekends and the exclusion of public holidays.

The result appears in four places: on the product page, in the cart, in checkout and in the order email. On the product page you can choose the position above or below the price. The display text is editable in the WYSIWYG editor, there are more than ten animated templates, and the text can be translated per store view. The module carries the badge Hyvä Ready.

One limit we state openly: a separate lead time per shipping method is listed in the product description as a possible extension and not as a confirmed function. If your delivery times vary strongly by shipping method, we discuss that before the order. The operator checks the legal situation for delivery time statements, see Legal. This is a hint, not legal advice.

How do Magento 2 Checkout Extensions collect details at checkout that Magento does not provide for?

Some orders need a piece of information for which the standard form has no field: an internal reference number, a note on delivery, a cost center. Among the Magento 2 Checkout Extensions, Mironsoft Custom Checkout Fields (from EUR 129) serves this purpose.

You create up to 8 additional fields, either single-line text or a multi-line text area. Each field gets its own label and an order, can be enabled individually and appears in the shipping or billing address area. The special part is the further processing: the entered value appears in the order view for customer and admin, on the invoice, packing slip and credit memo, and in the confirmation email and the PDF invoice. Nobody has to transfer it by hand. The values can also be retrieved via REST and GraphQL.

To be clear about the limits: there are exactly two field types, text and textarea. Dropdowns, checkboxes or conditional logic are not part of this module. If you need such fields, we look at a custom extension with you. The badge reads Magento 2.4.x without Hyvä Ready, yet the product description calls the module Hyvä-compatible for the Hyvä checkout. We verify that against your theme before launch.

What belongs on the success page after the order with Magento 2 Checkout Extensions?

The page after the purchase is often forgotten, yet nearly every customer reads it. Mironsoft Order Info Success Page (from EUR 149) replaces the short thank-you message with an overview: items with name, SKU, quantity, price and total per line, shipping and billing address, shipping method, payment method as well as order number and date.

In the admin you decide which of these details are visible, and addresses, payment method and shipping method can be switched individually. The layout can be adapted without code changes. Cross-sell suggestions can also appear on the success page. According to the description, the display follows common WCAG accessibility standards.

According to the product page, the module fits Mironsoft Estimated Delivery Date. If you use both, customers see the order and the expected delivery date together after the purchase. What the page does not replace is the confirmation email: it complements the email, it is no substitute.

How do Magento 2 Checkout Extensions win back abandoned carts?

Not every cart becomes an order. Among the Magento 2 Checkout Extensions, Mironsoft Abandoned Cart (from EUR 249) takes care of those that are left behind. Detection runs via cron in the background, so no manual follow-up is needed in daily business.

Instead of a single email, the module sends a multi-step series. Each step has its own interval, and the number of steps and email templates is not limited. A step can contain an automatically generated discount coupon, with type, value, minimum order value and validity as you define them. Alternatively, free shipping can be chosen as the incentive. Guests are recognized by the email address they entered at checkout.

In the backend you see abandoned and recovered carts as well as redeemed and unused coupons, plus graphical reporting with the revenue from recovered purchases. A cron log shows the execution status, and you can start a run manually if needed. Texts are maintainable per store view.

What we do not promise: a particular recovery rate. The reporting shows you what the incentive actually achieves in your shop. Because the reminder is sent by email, consent and data protection belong in the planning, see Legal. This is a hint, not legal advice.

Three of the ten Magento 2 Checkout Extensions carry no Hyvä Ready badge: Extra Fee, Custom Checkout Fields and Shipping Per Product. The other seven carry it. That does not mean the three do not run with Hyvä, only that the badge is not assigned. That is why we check the display together with you before setup.

Which everyday shop scenarios do Magento 2 Checkout Extensions solve?

The following examples show how Magento 2 Checkout Extensions can be used in typical situations. The amounts and names are freely chosen examples, not customer cases.

Example free shipping threshold

A merchant ships free above a minimum value. The bar of Mironsoft Free Shipping Bar shows in the cart what is missing until then. A note can also be shown on the category page.

Example extra fees

A shop with fragile goods charges a packaging fee only for one category and a surcharge for cash on delivery. With Mironsoft Extra Fee, both appear as their own lines in the cart.

Example delivery date

A shop ships orders placed before 2 pm on the same day. Mironsoft Estimated Delivery Date automatically counts orders after that to the next day and skips weekends.

Example fields that need explaining

A trade supply shop wants a construction site reference and a delivery note on each order. With Mironsoft Custom Checkout Fields, both details land on the invoice and packing slip.

Example quick order in B2B

A buyer orders the same twenty items every week. Mironsoft Quick Order takes the list as CSV and shows the tier prices right in the form.

Example bulky goods

A shop sells small parts and pallets in the same cart. With Mironsoft Shipping Per Product, each product gets its own rate, and the combination rule decides what applies in a mix.

For B2B scenarios the guide to the B2B online shop is also worth reading. Extra fees, price statements and delivery times are legally sensitive: the operator checks them, see Legal.

How do Magento 2 Checkout Extensions work with other categories?

The checkout does not stand alone, and neither do the Magento 2 Checkout Extensions. The Magento 2 Checkout Extensions reach into areas covered by other categories at several points.

Vouchers and reminders connect especially well with Marketing & Promotions: the voucher in the mini cart and the coupons of the abandoned cart series should match your promotion rules, so that discounts do not add up unintentionally. What happens after the purchase belongs to Orders: extra fields and fees appear in the order view, and editing the order itself lives there.

Documents is about invoice, packing slip and credit memo. According to the product descriptions, fees and checkout fields land on these documents, and you control the layout of the documents there. The Product Page is where the delivery date appears first, so it is worth a look at the modules there. And under Sales & Partners you find modules for dealer programs, which suit the quick order in B2B well.

The page Magento 2 Extensions gives an overview of all areas. If you wonder whether modules or a fresh build make more sense, Webshop with Magento provides the larger frame.

What does this mean for Hyvä, performance and Core Web Vitals with Magento 2 Checkout Extensions?

Every checkout module can affect load time and stability, which is why performance belongs to every selection of Magento 2 Checkout Extensions. Seven of the ten modules carry the badge Hyvä Ready, and several of them run on Alpine.js without an additional external library, according to the descriptions. Read more about the theme at Hyvä Themes.

A bar that only appears after loading, or a panel that shifts the layout, can affect the Core Web Vitals. That is exactly why the free shipping module offers a delay timer per page. How to improve load time overall is described on the page about performance optimization. For operation after launch, the maintenance packages are available.

The best way to test the checkout is one purchase with all active Magento 2 Checkout Extensions: add a product, open the panel, check the fee, fill in the required field, read the success page. Payment methods remain a topic of their own. The modules do not intervene in payment processing, but fees can be tied to a payment method. That belongs in the test as well.

What should you check before choosing Magento 2 Checkout Extensions?

These points help when selecting Magento 2 Checkout Extensions, before you order.

  • Start with the gap, not the module

Note where customers ask questions or staff correct things by hand. A module without a clear problem adds complexity without solving anything.

  • Match badges and theme

Check in the table which modules are Hyvä Ready. For Extra Fee, Custom Checkout Fields and Shipping Per Product we clarify the display in advance.

  • Fix the rules in writing

Free shipping threshold, cut-off time, fee amount and combination rule are business decisions. The clearer they are before setup, the faster it goes.

  • Consider overlaps

The voucher in the panel, the coupon from the reminder and the free shipping threshold act together. Decide which incentives may be combined.

  • Do not leave legal matters to the module

The operator checks fees, delivery times, price statements and reminder emails. A module can display something, but it cannot judge whether it is permitted. See Legal.

  • Know the limits

Custom Checkout Fields knows only two field types, the lead time per shipping method is not confirmed for Estimated Delivery Date, and the shipping bar only displays a threshold.

If after reading you find that your requirement is in no module, describe it to us. A custom extension is then the next step, and prices at a glance are under Pricing.

How does the setup of Magento 2 Checkout Extensions work?

The Magento 2 Checkout Extensions in this category are not download files for self-installation. Buying is a commission, and the offer is aimed at businesses.

01

Use the table to pick the right Magento 2 Checkout Extensions and order on the respective product page.

02

Payment by invoice or prepayment

Mironsoft gets in touch and clarifies the details. Depending on the module these are the free shipping threshold, the calculation logic of the delivery date, the fee rules, the desired checkout fields or the pages for Ajax add to cart.

04

Setup in your shop

Mironsoft installs and configures the Magento 2 Checkout Extensions personally in your shop. Afterwards you test the complete purchase flow together with us.

The page Magento 2 Extensions shows an overview of all areas. Not sure where your shop stands? Then the guide to choosing an agency helps.

What can Magento 2 Checkout Extensions not do about fees, prices and delivery times?

Displaying something in the shop is a technical function. Whether surcharges, price statements and delivery time statements are permitted is for the operator to check.

With the Magento 2 Checkout Extensions, the rule is the same: Extra Fee displays a fee, Estimated Delivery Date displays a date, and the shipping bar displays a threshold. None of these modules judges whether a fee is allowed in your situation, whether the price statement is complete or whether a delivery date counts as a commitment. These questions belong to your terms and conditions and your legal review.

Reminder emails for abandoned carts also need a clean foundation. Plan them together with your data protection. You will find more modules and hints in the category Legal. This is a hint, not legal advice.

Frequently asked questions about checkout and cart modules

What are Magento 2 Checkout Extensions?

They are extensions for the stretch from cart to order confirmation: Ajax add to cart, mini cart, quick order, shipping bar, shipping costs per product, extra fees, delivery date, checkout fields, success page and cart reminders. The category holds 10 modules by Mironsoft.

Do these modules replace the Magento checkout?

No. They add to individual points in the cart, in checkout and on the success page. Payment providers and payment processing stay untouched.

Do the modules work with Hyvä?

Seven of the ten modules carry the badge Hyvä Ready. Extra Fee, Custom Checkout Fields and Shipping Per Product carry only Magento 2.4.x. We clarify the fit for your theme before setup.

Can I show a free shipping bar on every page?

Yes. The Free Shipping Bar can be used on the home page, category, search, cart, product page or checkout. Delay and device target are adjustable per page.

Can I set shipping costs per product?

Yes, with Shipping Per Product. You enter a flat rate or cost per piece for each product. With several items in the cart you choose minimum, maximum or sum. For many products there is a CSV import.

Which fields can I add at checkout?

Up to 8 fields of type text or textarea. Other field types or conditional logic are not part of this module. The values appear in the order view, documents and emails.

Does the delivery date calculate a separate lead time per shipping method?

According to the product description this is not confirmed but named as a possible extension. Confirmed are period or date range, cut-off time, weekend and holiday exclusion.

How does the abandoned cart reminder work?

Via cron, the module detects carts left behind and sends a multi-step email series with its own interval per step, optionally with a coupon. Reporting shows recovered revenue. We promise no particular rate.

May I simply show extra fees and delivery dates?

Technically yes, legally the operator checks that. This is a hint and not legal advice. If in doubt, have fees, price statements and delivery time statements reviewed.

Do I get the modules as a download?

No. Mironsoft sets up every module personally in your shop. The offer is for businesses, and payment is by invoice or prepayment.
