With the Mironsoft Magento 2 Gift Message, customers store an individual greeting for every cart line. Anyone who buys three gifts for three people in one order writes three notes instead of one. The message travels into the order, onto the packing slip and into the admin view without prices becoming visible. The input is an Alpine.js field in the Hyvä theme and needs no extra library. The Magento 2 Gift Message can be switched on per store view and per category.

The message belongs to the order item. In the admin you see it right at the order row, and a column in the order grid marks which orders contain messages. The packing slip prints the text without prices so recipients can read it safely. In the customer email and on the invoice the message appears only if you configure it. With partial shipments it stays with its item.

Character limit, categories and requirement for the Magento 2 Gift Message
In the settings you decide for which store views and categories the field appears, how long the text may be and whether special characters are allowed. Emojis and HTML are cleaned so the print on the card stays tidy. Optionally you require a message for certain categories, such as gift boxes. Entries are shown on the order page in the customer account.
