This is where you find Magento 2 GDPR Extensions for cookie consent, data access, account deletion, withdrawal and age prompts. Five modules provide the technical side of these tasks, all are Hyvä Ready and built for Magento 2.4.x. Mironsoft sets them up personally in your store. They do not replace legal advice: you review texts, settings and processes with your data protection officer or lawyer.

What do Magento 2 GDPR Extensions deliver, and what not?

Magento 2 GDPR Extensions are tools. They provide forms, logs, prompts and switches that let you implement data protection and consumer duties technically in your store. They do not decide which duties apply to your store or how your texts must read. That is a legal question, and a data protection officer or a lawyer answers it, not a module and not us.

That is why this page is worded cautiously on purpose. Magento 2 GDPR Extensions support you with specific tasks. They do not make a store compliant by themselves, and we make no promise that you will be free of warning letters. The product pages state in several places that the modules do not replace legal advice and that responsibility stays with the operator. We adopt that position here unchanged.

What the Magento 2 GDPR Extensions in this category do deliver is tangible: a banner with categories instead of a loose line of text, a log instead of memory, a button in the account instead of an email in the inbox. The category complements our services around the web store and extension development and does not replace them.

Which tasks do Magento 2 GDPR Extensions cover in daily store operations?

Running a store brings legally shaped tasks up in five places. On the first page view, a banner asks for consent to cookies and tracking. In the customer account, customers want to see their data, export it or end the account. After the purchase, a withdrawal occasionally arrives. For certain assortments, an age prompt sits in front of access.

The Magento 2 GDPR Extensions in this category map to exactly these places. Cookie Consent handles first contact, GDPR Compliance and Delete Account handle the data in the account, Withdrawal Button handles the time after purchase and Age Verification handles access to selected areas. Each of these Magento 2 GDPR Extensions has a clearly defined purpose and can be used on its own.

What the modules do not do: they do not write your privacy policy, they do not decide whether a service needs consent at all, and they do not clarify how long you must keep which data. Questions like these belong before the setup, not after it.

Which Magento 2 GDPR Extensions does Mironsoft offer?

The category contains five modules. Each is Hyvä Ready and built for Magento 2.4.x. The cards below show what a module does according to its product page.

Mironsoft Cookie Consent

Banner in box or bar layout with Alpine.js, four categories, Google Consent Mode v2, cookie registry and an automatic scanner for unknown cookies. Price from EUR 249.

Mironsoft GDPR Compliance

Customers export their data as CSV, every consent lands in the log with timestamp, type and status. Complements Cookie Consent and Delete Account. Price from EUR 299.

Mironsoft Delete Account

Customers delete their account themselves, with a confirmation checkbox and an email link. Order history stays and is decoupled from the account. Price from EUR 149.

Mironsoft Withdrawal Button

A button in the customer account and for guests, with item and quantity selection, automatic deadline calculation and an admin grid including credit memo. Price from EUR 179.

Mironsoft Age Verification

Popup with a date of birth field in front of the shop, a category or a product. You set the minimum age freely, and a cookie remembers the confirmation. Price from EUR 149.

These Magento 2 GDPR Extensions deliberately work separately from one another. GDPR Compliance points deletion requests to Delete Account instead of rebuilding its function and complements Cookie Consent instead of replacing it. As a result, every setting lives in one place.

How does a cookie banner with Google Consent Mode v2 work?

Mironsoft Cookie Consent shows a banner in box or bar layout on the first visit. Four categories are available: necessary, functional, analytics and marketing. Each can be activated and pre-set individually. The frontend runs on Alpine.js instead of jQuery and loads no additional external script. For Magento 2 GDPR Extensions this matters, as it fits a lean Hyvä theme.

For Google services the module implements Consent Mode v2. According to the product page, the defaults for ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage are set to "denied" before GTM or GA4 load, and only the visitor's choice changes that. Six services come preconfigured: GTM, GA4, Meta Pixel, Clarity, Hotjar and Matomo. How you assess these services under data protection law, you clarify with your data protection officer.

You choose the consent mode yourself, opt-in or opt-out. The product page recommends opt-in. Whether that recommendation is enough for your store and your markets is a legal check. A small floating button lets visitors change their choice later, and you set its position. Every text can be stored per store view, so German and English visitors each see their own language.

How does the cookie scanner find unknown cookies?

Every newly installed extension and every new tracking script can set a cookie that your registry does not know yet. That is where the scanner comes in. During real page views it compares the cookies set in the browser with the cookie registry and reports anything unknown to the backend. A manual website scan is not needed. The same page with the same cookies does not trigger a repeat request.

The registry itself documents all cookies, including dynamically named ones. Wildcard patterns such as _ga_* make sure variants are matched correctly. In the admin a red badge shows as soon as something new appears. From the report you assign category and description to the cookie directly. In addition, the module sends a daily summary of new unknown cookies at 08:00.

A version number for consent is the third building block. If you raise it, the banner asks every visitor again. That makes sense when services or texts have changed. For caching, the module uses its own cache type with a 24-hour lifetime that works with Redis. Like all Magento 2 GDPR Extensions, the scanner gives hints, not a verdict: whether a found cookie needs consent is not decided by the module.

How do Magento 2 GDPR Extensions handle data access and consent records?

Mironsoft GDPR Compliance takes the manual work out of access requests. In the customer account, the customer requests their data and exports account data, addresses and order history as a CSV file. In the admin you see every request in a central grid, confirm or decline it, filter by customer or status and get notified by email about new requests. How fast and in which form you must answer, you clarify with your data protection officer.

The second part is the consent log. A consent is stored with timestamp, type and status, plus the version of the privacy text that applied. You place checkboxes on checkout, registration, contact form and newsletter and set the position per form. A withdrawn consent does not vanish but stays visible in the log. The texts can be stored per store view.

The product page names a limit itself: the module supports the technical implementation but does not replace legal advice. The design of your privacy policy, consent texts and the overall process remain your responsibility. Align its use with your data protection officer. Changes take effect immediately, a separate cache invalidation is not needed.

How do customers delete their account without losing order data?

With Mironsoft Delete Account, the customer account gets its own menu entry for deletion. The customer ticks the confirmation checkbox, clicks the button and finally confirms a link in an email. Only then is the deletion carried out. Three steps instead of a support request save you the manual handling of every request.

The separation of what goes and what stays is the interesting part. According to the product page, login, saved addresses and payment data are removed. Orders and invoices stay, decoupled from the account, because they may not simply disappear for retention reasons. The product page cites the GoBD for Germany. Which periods apply to your company your tax advisor tells you, not the module.

An admin log documents deleted accounts with a timestamp and details. After deletion the customer can register again with the same details. You adapt the texts of the confirmation page and the email, and an on/off switch activates the function without a deployment. The form uses Alpine.js without additional external JavaScript.

How does the withdrawal button work in a Magento store?

Mironsoft Withdrawal Button is aimed at shops that sell to consumers themselves and need to implement a statutory withdrawal right there. We use the term withdrawal button the way the product page uses it: as a button in the customer account next to the customer's own order. Guests can withdraw too. They enter order number and email address, no login needed.

The flow has two stages. The customer selects the items and quantities that are actually going back and sees a confirmation page with a summary before submitting. Afterwards they receive a timestamped confirmation email, and the deadline runs out automatically without you tracking it by hand. How you set the start and length of the period for your assortment, you clarify legally in advance.

In the admin, a dedicated grid under "Sales" collects all requests, filterable by status, date, customer and order number. You create the credit memo straight from the request, without the detour through the regular form. For each request the module stores a reference number and IP address, a CSV export serves analysis and bookkeeping, and an optional admin email reports new requests.

Is an age prompt popup enough in a Magento store?

Mironsoft Age Verification is a self-declaration. For genuinely age-restricted products that may not be enough.

Among the Magento 2 GDPR Extensions, this module asks for a date of birth in a popup, not just a yes or no. You set the minimum age, such as 16, 18 or 21, in the backend. The prompt can be activated for the whole shop, for single categories or for single products, so only visitors to age-sensitive areas see it. Several ready-made templates serve as a start, and custom CSS and JavaScript are possible.

After confirmation a cookie remembers the choice, and you set its duration yourself, for example 30 days or permanent. For buttons you define label and target URL, for instance on rejection.

The product page states the limit openly: a simple self-declaration may not be sufficient depending on assortment and jurisdiction, and for products such as tobacco or high-proof alcohol a real age check would have to be clarified. Whether your assortment falls under that, you assess with your lawyer before relying on the popup.

Which Magento 2 GDPR Extensions fit which store?

Three examples show what the selection of Magento 2 GDPR Extensions can look like. They are thought models, not recommendations for your individual case, and the legal assessment stays with you.

Example 1: a shop for office supplies that delivers only to businesses and uses Google Analytics. Cookie Consent is the focus here, because tracking should depend cleanly on the consent status. GDPR Compliance joins if access requests from customers' staff arrive. According to the product page, the withdrawal button plays no role for pure B2B sales, it is not meant for them.

Example 2: a B2C shop for garden supplies with customer accounts and a newsletter. Cookie Consent, GDPR Compliance, Delete Account and Withdrawal Button together form a complete technical base for banner, access, deletion and withdrawal. An age prompt is dropped if the assortment has no age limit.

Example 3: a specialist retailer with a small category of age-sensitive products. Age Verification can be activated for that category only. Because a self-declaration does not cover every duty, you clarify separately whether additional checks are needed.

How do Magento 2 GDPR Extensions work together with customers and account?

Three of the five Magento 2 GDPR Extensions sit in the customer account: data access, account deletion and withdrawal. Whoever keeps an account should be able to exercise their rights there without writing to support. More modules for registration, login and account are in the category customers and account.

It makes sense to arrange the account menu entries deliberately. My data, delete account and orders with withdrawal should be named clearly and be easy to find, otherwise follow-up questions arise that you want to avoid. You can store the account texts per store view, so each language version gets its own labels.

Combined with the Magento 2 GDPR Extensions of this category, the account gets a chain: the customer sees their data, exports it, gives or withdraws consent and ends the account when needed. Each step leaves a trace in the admin that you can use for follow-up questions.

How do Magento 2 GDPR Extensions affect checkout, marketing, tracking and orders?

In checkout, GDPR Compliance places configurable consent checkboxes. More on lean purchase flows is in the category checkout and cart. Every extra checkbox costs attention, so it pays to ask which consents you actually need. Your data protection officer clarifies that.

In marketing, much depends on consent. Newsletter signups, retargeting and campaign reporting only work sensibly when the consent status is known. Matching modules are collected in the category marketing and promotions. The same holds for tracking: you load pixels and analytics through Cookie Consent only after the visitor has chosen. Further tools come from the category tracking and social.

With orders, two worlds touch. The withdrawal accesses single order items, while account deletion leaves order data standing. Supplementary modules for the order flow are in the category orders. An overview of every module is in the full catalog.

What do you review with a data protection officer or lawyer before going live?

Before launch of your Magento 2 GDPR Extensions, a review by a legally trained person belongs in the mandatory program. These points help you prepare the conversation. They are a basis for discussion, not legal advice:

  • Texts

Banner, consent texts, deletion page and emails are your texts. Have them reviewed professionally before they go live.

  • Settings

Which categories are pre-set, whether opt-in or opt-out applies and which services load is something you decide with legal counsel, not merely by default.

  • Processes

Who answers access requests, who handles withdrawals, and how fast? The modules map the flow but do not staff it.

  • Assortment

Do you sell products with an age limit? Then clarify whether a self-declaration is enough or a real check is needed.

  • Retention

Which order and invoice data you must keep is determined by your tax advisor and your lawyer, not by the deletion function.

  • Evidence

Logs and grids are only useful if someone looks at them regularly. Assign a responsibility.

At all times: responsibility for texts, settings and processes lies with you as the operator. The Magento 2 GDPR Extensions provide technically, your specialists assess.
