Magento Speed Optimization Extensions

This is where you find Magento 2 performance extensions and protection modules for your store: cache warming, WebP and AVIF images and image cleanup for fast pages, plus login protection, spam filters, a maintenance page and copy deterrence. Mironsoft sets up all seven modules personally in your store. They help shorten load times and reduce the attack surface of your store.

What do Magento 2 performance extensions deliver, and what not?

Magento 2 performance extensions solve specific, narrow problems. One module warms the cache, another shrinks images, a third clears out files no product needs anymore. A module does not turn a slow store into a fast one by itself. If you load 4 MB of scripts or run on an overloaded server, you first need an analysis, then targeted measures.

This category of Magento 2 performance extensions combines two topics that are closely linked in daily operations: speed and protection. Both decide whether your store sells reliably. A store that starts slowly after every deploy loses visitors. A store with an exposed admin area can lose far more than visitors.

The seven Magento 2 performance extensions on this page are small, clearly scoped and bookable one by one. They complement our services for performance optimization and store security, but they do not replace an analysis of your specific store. Where a module reaches its limits, we say so openly, here and on its product page.

How do Magento 2 performance extensions affect load time and Core Web Vitals?

The Core Web Vitals measure how fast a page feels. Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) measures when the largest visible element appears, usually a product image or a banner. Interaction to Next Paint (INP) measures how quickly the page reacts to clicks. Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) measures whether elements jump while loading. Google counts these values as part of page experience. The direct effect matters more: people who wait are more likely to leave.

With Magento 2 performance extensions, two levers are often neglected. The first is the full page cache. It serves finished pages instead of rebuilding them on every request. After a cache flush it is empty, and the first visitor to each page pays for the rebuild. The second lever is images. On product and category pages they are usually the largest part of the transferred data and often decide the LCP value.

For Magento 2 performance extensions, both levers work regardless of the theme. A lean frontend such as Hyvä gets you far, but even a fast theme delivers slowly when the cache is cold or a hero image weighs 1.4 MB. For visibility in search engines, see the category SEO and content, because load time and findability belong together.

Which Magento 2 performance extensions make your pages faster?

Three modules in this category aim directly at speed and storage. Each one works in the background and is controlled in the admin.

Mironsoft Full Page Cache Warmer

Detects a cache flush by itself and then requests product, category, layered navigation, CMS and blog pages in advance. Presets for the thread count and a server load threshold keep the warming run from straining the server. Price from EUR 229.

Mironsoft WebP Image Converter

Converts JPEG, PNG and GIF to WebP or AVIF automatically. According to the product page, files are 25 to 34% smaller at the same quality. Older browsers receive the original. Price from EUR 179.

Mironsoft Image Clean

Finds product and category images that no record uses anymore, shows a list first and backs up before deleting. Price from EUR 129.

For these Magento 2 performance extensions the order makes sense: shrink images first, then keep the cache warm, and finally remove old material. Smaller images make every warming run lighter, and a tidy media folder shortens backups.

How does a cache warmer help after a deploy or cache flush?

Every deploy and every configuration change flushes parts of the cache. A cache warmer such as Mironsoft Full Page Cache Warmer closes that gap. The module runs via cron, detects the flush automatically and can also be started with an admin button or a CLI command. The latter fits deploy scripts: the run starts right after release, not when the first customer opens the page.

You decide which URLs get warmed. The module reads the XML sitemap, accepts additional URL lists by CSV upload and can be controlled by customer group, page type, URL pattern, popularity and store view. With several store views, caches are shared where possible. An efficiency report shows hits and misses.

The point of caution is load. Too many parallel requests can strain the server exactly when it has to rebuild anyway. That is why there are performance presets (high, medium, low) or a freely chosen thread count, and under high load the module throttles the run automatically. With Magento 2 performance extensions, how much speedup you finally see depends on server, catalog and cache configuration. We do not promise a number for that.

Why are WebP and AVIF worth it as Magento 2 performance extensions for images?

WebP and AVIF are modern image formats that produce smaller files than JPEG, PNG or GIF at comparable quality. Mironsoft WebP Image Converter handles the switch automatically: a cron run scans and converts, a scan button in the admin starts it manually when needed, and new uploads can be converted right away. You set the quality slider continuously between 0 and 100. That lets you find the point where a furniture photo still looks high quality and stays lean.

The fallback matters. Browsers that do not know a format automatically get the original image. An exclusion list leaves out folders or files that should stay untouched, such as print templates. Images on CMS pages are converted as well, not only product images. If the module is deactivated, it cleanly removes the generated WebP files again.

Mind the starting point of your Magento 2 performance extensions: conversion helps when the originals are too large. If the problems lie elsewhere, such as scripts or servers, it brings less. A short analysis within performance optimization clarifies that.

How do you protect forms from spam and fake accounts?

Spam hits stores in three places: the contact form, registration and the newsletter. Fake accounts distort your customer data, invalid newsletter addresses hurt deliverability, and phishing mail in the inbox costs time. Mironsoft Stop Spam Mails blocks these paths on three levels: a domain blocklist for known disposable providers, filtering of suspicious special characters in email addresses, and IP blocking with rate limiting against automated mass submissions.

Each level and each form can be switched on or off individually. The domain list is extendable, the rate limit threshold is adjustable, and you write the error message text yourself. The admin log names form, reason and time for every blocked attempt. That also lets you spot false alarms, meaning real customers who were blocked by mistake. For registration and login, see the category customers and account, for newsletters the category marketing and promotions.

A spam filter catches what it recognizes. It replaces neither a captcha nor good practice in newsletter signup. As one building block among several it does its job: less junk, a visible log, full control.

How do you secure the Magento admin area against brute force?

The admin area is the most valuable target in your store. Anyone who gets in sees orders, customer data and settings. Mironsoft Security Suite bundles the usual protective measures in one module. These are the building blocks according to the product page:

  • Login limiting

After a set number of failed attempts, access is blocked, and you define the duration.

  • Email on failed attempts

You are notified as soon as suspicious login attempts occur.

  • IP blacklist and away mode

You block problematic addresses permanently. Away mode blocks all admin logins and can only be lifted via the command line.

  • Activity log

Logins, actions and file changes are recorded, and the log is backed up regularly.

  • Security checklist

Checks the admin username, captcha status and Magento version.

  • As an addition

Two-factor authentication, a hidden admin URL and an IP whitelist can be set up on top.

Which roles and permissions your staff have in the admin is better handled in user management. Matching modules are in the category admin and backend.

Why is Magento security a process and not a single module?

None of the Magento 2 performance extensions makes a store secure. Login protection does not help if the Magento version is years old. A spam filter does not help if credentials circulate in a chat history. Security consists of recurring steps:

01

Apply updates and patches

Magento publishes security patches. Applying them promptly closes known gaps. This belongs in a fixed rhythm, for example through the update service.

02

Secure access

Strong passwords, separate accounts per person, plus 2FA and IP restriction. The Security Suite covers parts of this.

03

Monitor instead of hope

The activity log and file change monitoring show when something changes that you did not initiate.

04

Check the traces

Clarify anomalies with a code audit or, if something has already happened, with store repair.

05

Maintain continuously

Monitoring, backups and updates belong in a maintenance plan or support, not in a one-off action.

Nobody can give a security guarantee, and neither can we. The modules reduce risk and make incidents visible. For an overview of all measures, see our page on Magento security.

How do you use maintenance mode without losing visitors?

Maintenance work is unavoidable: updates, migrations, rebuilds. The Magento default is a plain text message with no brand reference. Mironsoft Maintenance Mode replaces it with your own page with logo, background image, colors and a countdown showing when the store returns. A newsletter signup directly on the page turns the downtime into a small gain. Phone, email and social media links can be shown as well.

The practical part is the access whitelist. Admins and defined test IPs keep seeing the real store, everyone else sees the maintenance page. That way you test changes live before release without switching the page off each time. Optionally you redirect visitors to another page instead. The module is built for Hyvä, uses Alpine.js and loads no additional external JavaScript.

For larger changeovers it pays to plan the sequence beforehand. The Magento update service helps with that.

What can right click protection do, and what not?

Mironsoft Disable Right Click deters casual copying. It is not complete protection.

The module blocks right click, common shortcuts such as Ctrl+C and F12, text selection and image dragging. It only applies where you activate it, for example on product pages, and leaves the checkout alone, where copy and paste for discount codes is welcome. Logged-in admins are excluded so your team is not locked out.

The block runs as JavaScript in the browser. Anyone who opens developer tools or disables JavaScript bypasses it without effort. Against deliberate image theft, watermarks and legal steps help. For notices and duties in your store, read the category legal. This is not legal advice.

Frequently asked questions about performance and security

How much faster will my store be with these modules?

That depends on server, catalog and starting point. We deliberately name no percentage. An analysis shows which lever brings the most in your store.

Are the modules available as a download?

No. Mironsoft installs every module personally in your store and agrees the settings with you. The offer is aimed at businesses (B2B).

How is payment handled?

By invoice or prepayment.

Do the modules work with Hyvä?

Four modules carry the Hyvä Ready badge: Mironsoft Full Page Cache Warmer, Mironsoft WebP Image Converter, Mironsoft Maintenance Mode and Mironsoft Disable Right Click. All seven are built for Magento 2.4.x.

Can deleting unused images break anything?

Image Clean shows a complete preview before every deletion and creates an automatic backup. You can restore from the backup, and a log records every removal.

Does the Security Suite protect my store completely?

No. It secures the admin area, for example against brute force, and logs activity. Security is a process with updates, patches and monitoring, not a single module.

Does right click protection keep my images from being stolen?

Only to a limited degree. It deters casual copying in the browser but can be bypassed with developer tools. Real protection needs watermarks or legal steps.

Can I keep working in the store while maintenance mode is active?

Yes. Admins and defined test IPs keep seeing the real store through the access whitelist, everyone else sees the maintenance page.
