Magento 2 subscription products: what the module does in your shop
Many ranges are bought again and again: coffee, pet food, care products, filters, consumables. Without a subscription the customer has to remember every time, and you lack planning security. Out of the box Magento 2 only offers manual reordering, a recurring contract with interval, dates and cancellation is unknown to it. This page covers Magento 2 subscription products in detail.

You enable the subscription option per product, define allowed intervals and a subscription discount, and customers choose between one-time purchase and subscription on the product page. On the due date the module creates the renewal order automatically, in the customer account people manage their subscriptions themselves. The interface follows Hyvä style with Alpine.js and loads no extra external JavaScript.

On products with the subscription option enabled, the product box gains a switch between one-time purchase and subscription. For subscriptions for Magento 2 subscription products the customer picks an interval from the values allowed for that product and sees the subscription price immediately. The selector is an Alpine.js component in Hyvä style, no extra external JavaScript is loaded.

Recurring orders in Magento: cron creates the renewal order
For Magento 2 subscription products the module, on the scheduled date, creates the renewal order using the last delivery data, the current price and current stock. Depending on the payment method a stored payment instrument is charged, or the order is created for invoice or prepayment. If a payment fails, configurable retries and a customer notification follow. A reminder email announces the upcoming delivery in advance.

Subscription management in the customer account with a cancellation button
In the customer account people see all running subscriptions with the next date and can pause, skip a date, change interval or address and cancel. The cancellation button reflects the German obligation for contracts concluded online, label and flow are adjustable. Whether your concrete setup meets all legal requirements should be checked with your legal counsel.

Differentiation from related Mironsoft modules
The module is not a payment module. Collection follows the payment method chosen in your shop, the subscription logic controls date, price and order. A reorder link, as used by abandoned cart or quick order features, triggers single orders but does not replace a running contract with interval and cancellation.
