New design on Hyvä

A title appears as one product with the formats print book, ePDF and ePub. Each format has its own card with a colored format badge, price and quantity selection, and availability is checked per format.

The product page shows the author, the medical fields as clickable tags and downloads for description and cover. A download only appears if the file really exists on the server. The media folders can be set in the admin.

Series, edition, year, pages and illustrations are read from the existing free text of the products, in German and in English notation. No data has to be entered again for the titles.

On hover, a panel next to the cover shows the image in full resolution. The zoom is an Alpine.js component without an extra library, and its size and behavior are set in the admin.

Above the filters, the sidebar shows the category tree of a freely selectable root category, for example the medical fields. The active path opens automatically. A custom plugin switches off the price filter, for which Magento has no switch.

A single widget shows products in four designs: dark or light grid, hero slider and plain row. Which titles appear is decided by a rule on SKU or category, not by a list of single records.

The menu covers medical fields, book series, product categories, new releases, advisory board and English and More, in German and English. Categories come live from the catalog, other items are curated. Three panel layouts and images keep it clear, and mobile has its own menu.

Medical fields, advisory board, congress and further pages are CMS pages in Page Builder format. A custom module fixes a character encoding error (UTF-8) in the Tailwind compilation of Hyvä that corrupted umlauts in class names.

Legal notice, privacy policy, shipping and payment, terms and withdrawal are built in the new design, with unchanged text and matching images.

A bar above the header for notices and promotions, with text and switch in the admin.

Selected CMS pages and blocks are exported as JSON and imported in another environment. Matching uses identifier, store view and theme path instead of database IDs. The import creates or updates and never deletes.

The shop uses our Cookie Consent module: a GDPR compliant banner with four categories, Google Consent Mode v2, an automatic cookie scanner and a cookie register, multilingual per store view.

With our Withdrawal Button module, customers withdraw in their account and guests with order number and email. The period is calculated automatically, and the admin has a grid that creates the credit memo straight from the request.

Registration asks for company, phone, address and country like the old shop. A switch in the layout makes this possible, without touching the Magento core. The newly visible texts are translated to German.

The shop runs on Magento 2.4.9 with PHP 8.4, OpenSearch, Redis and a Hyvä theme on Tailwind CSS. The product page follows the structure of the previous one.

All new elements, from the menu to the product page and the modules, exist in German and English. Missing core translations are added selectively.
