Magento 2 Sticky Mobile Bar: the key actions always within thumb reach
With the Mironsoft Magento 2 Sticky Mobile Bar, a slim bar stays fixed at the bottom of the smartphone screen. It contains the actions you choose: call, messenger, cart, search or account. You decide in the admin which actions appear on which page type. The Magento 2 Sticky Mobile Bar uses Alpine.js and Tailwind, needs no jQuery and only appears below the breakpoint you select.
Fixed bar
Anchored at the bottom edge, visible only on smartphones and small tablets.
Free actions
Call, email, messenger, cart, search or account, in your order.
Rules per page type
Home, category, product, cart and CMS with their own actions.
Cart counter
The item count updates live without a page change.
Scroll behaviour
The bar yields when scrolling down and returns when scrolling up.
Times and groups
Show or hide actions by time or for customer groups.
Why key actions should not disappear with the header on smartphones
On a smartphone visitors scroll long pages, and the header is gone after a few swipes. Phone number, search and cart are then reachable only via the top of the page. Merchants therefore look for a Magento 2 Sticky Mobile Bar that offers these actions permanently. The thumb reaches the bottom edge of the screen far more easily than the top corner.
The default theme offers no configurable bar for this. Anyone building it themselves struggles with safe area, cookie banner, keyboard and page types. The Magento 2 Sticky Mobile Bar bundles this into admin settings: choose actions, assign page types, adjust colours, done.
Choose actions: call, messenger, cart, search and account
In the admin you create up to five actions. Each has an icon, a short label, a target and a position. Call sets a phone link, the messenger entry opens the stored chat, cart and account point to the shop pages, and search opens the search field. Labels are translatable per store view. More than five entries are deliberately not provided because the tap targets would become too small.
- Up to five actions with icon and label
- Phone, messenger, cart, search, account or custom link
- Texts and targets per store view
Control the Magento 2 Sticky Mobile Bar per page type
On the home page search counts, on a category filtering, in the cart the way to checkout. That is why you assign each action to specific page types: home, category, product, cart, checkout, account and CMS. In checkout the bar can be switched off entirely so that it does not distract from completing the order. In addition, you show actions for selected customer groups or at certain times of day.
- Assign actions to page types
- Fully switchable off in checkout
- Time and customer group rules
Scroll behaviour, safe area and cookie banner
The bar yields when scrolling down so the content has room, and returns when scrolling up. On devices with a home indicator it respects the safe area so nothing is covered. An open cookie banner or the on-screen keyboard does not push the bar over input fields. Reduced motion on the visitor side switches off the transitions, and every button has a visible focus state.
- Hide on scroll down
- Safe area for devices with a home indicator
- Consideration for cookie banner and keyboard
Colours, breakpoint and counter in the configuration
You set background, icon colour and accent in the admin. The breakpoint determines from which screen width the bar disappears, so it never shows on desktops. The cart counter reads its value from the Hyvä cart data section and updates automatically after an item is added. The page footer gets bottom padding so the bar does not cover content.
- Colours and breakpoint in the admin
- Counter from cart data, updated live
- Padding at the page end against overlap

Scope compared with bottom navigation, sticky add to cart and chat button
The Mironsoft mobile bottom navigation replaces the main navigation with app-like tabs. The sticky add-to-cart bar only appears on the product page and holds the buy button. The chat button floats as a single knob above the page. The Magento 2 Sticky Mobile Bar, by contrast, is a freely configurable action bar for any page type.
If you want both, combine the modules and decide per page type what should be visible. Everything runs on Alpine.js in the Hyvä theme.
No download, personal setup
The Sticky Mobile Action Bar is not listed here as a ready-made download file to install yourself. The purchase is a service order: after the purchase we get in touch, install the module in your shop and define actions and page type rules together with you.
