Magento 2 table rate shipping instead of a single CSV per website
The standard Table Rates shipping method of Magento hits limits quickly: one CSV per website, few conditions and no preview on import. The Magento 2 table rate shipping module, by contrast, allows any number of named tables that you assign to individual store views, with conditions such as country, region, postcode range, weight, cart value and item quantity.
This lets you maintain parcel carrier tiers, island surcharges, freight flat rates or a separate tariff for the EN shop in one interface. Magento 2 table rate shipping: one table per shipping method, different per store view
Instead of one CSV per website you create any number of named tables and assign them to store views. Each row combines conditions such as destination country, postcode range, weight span, cart value or item quantity with a price. This lets you model parcel carrier tiers, island surcharges or freight flat rates in one interface.

Calculating shipping at checkout in a traceable way
If several rows match, the most specific wins: country with postcode range before country before rest of world. Each table can have a minimum and maximum amount and a free-shipping threshold. The delivery time text of the chosen row is shown next to the shipping method in the Hyvä checkout. For support cases the admin shows which table and row were applied to an order.

Anywhere shipping is not a flat rate.
Parcel tiers by weight
Light shipments cheap, heavy ones more expensive: weight spans with a fixed amount or amount per kilogram reproduce the carrier tariffs.
Regional surcharges by postcode
Islands, remote areas or delivery zones get their own prices through postcode ranges and prefixes.
Freight goods
Bulky products get their own table with flat rates by quantity or cart value.
Multiple countries and shops

Distinction from related Mironsoft modules
Magento 2 table rate shipping calculates prices. For deviating shipping costs of single products there is a separate shipping-per-product module, for the progress bar towards free shipping a free-shipping bar. Blocking shipping methods for certain regions is a different task and not part of this module.
Merchants who use Magento 2 table rate shipping can keep existing shipping methods running in parallel and switch step by step. That keeps the checkout stable during the rollout.
