A video often explains assembly, size or use better than ten photos and reduces customer questions. Why a Magento 2 product video sells more than additional photos

YouTube and Vimeo transmit technical data to external servers when embedded. So the Magento 2 Product Video module first shows only a locally stored preview image with a notice. The player loads only after approval. For YouTube we use the privacy-enhanced embed domain. How you reflect the consent in your cookie banner is something we clarify with you during setup.

For every video the Magento 2 Product Video module generates VideoObject JSON-LD with name, description, thumbnail, upload date and embed or file URL. If a required field is missing, the markup for that video is omitted instead of outputting incomplete data. Whether Google shows a rich result is Google's decision alone.
