Magento 2 Knowledge Base: answers before the support email is written
With the Magento 2 knowledge base from Mironsoft you publish guides, product help and answers in a dedicated area of your shop. Customers find articles through categories or search, rate them with thumbs up or down and, if needed, land directly in the contact form. The interface runs on Alpine.js in the Hyvä theme and needs no extra library.
Categories and subcategories
Arrange articles in a tree, with icon, description and sort order per category.
Search as you type
Results appear instantly, weighted by title, tags and body text.
Helpful rating
One click on thumbs up or down, optionally with a follow-up on negative votes.
Related articles
Matching articles from the same category appear at the end of every post.
Product linking
Articles can be assigned to products and shown there as a help tab.
FAQ and HowTo schema
Depending on article type, suitable JSON-LD is output for search engines.
Why a Magento 2 knowledge base noticeably reduces support requests
Many support emails revolve around the same questions: how do I care for the product, what does this error mean, how does the return work. Every answer costs time, and every repetition is avoidable. Merchants therefore look for a Magento 2 knowledge base, a Magento 2 help center or a way to publish support articles in Magento 2. With free CMS pages this gets messy fast.
A structured knowledge base collects the answers in one place, is searchable and shows through the ratings which articles help and which need work. As a side effect you create content that can appear in Google for how-to searches.
Building a Magento 2 knowledge base: articles, categories, tags
In the admin you create categories and assign articles. Every article has a title, content in the WYSIWYG editor, tags, article type, status and store view assignment. Drafts stay invisible until you publish. You set the order within a category with a position field, highlighted articles appear on the knowledge base home page.
- Category tree of any depth with its own sorting
- Article types: guide, answer, troubleshooting
- Highlighted articles for the home page
Search in the Magento 2 knowledge base: results while typing
The search field at the top of every knowledge base page suggests matching articles after a few characters. Weighting favours titles and tags over body text. If nothing is found, a friendly note with a link to the contact form appears and the search term is logged in the admin. That is how you spot gaps before they turn into support emails.
- Live suggestions with Alpine.js, no extra library
- Titles and tags weighted above body text
- Search terms without results evaluated in the admin
Helpful rating: which articles in your knowledge base really help
Below each article the module asks whether it helped. A click on no optionally opens a short field for remarks. The admin evaluation shows views, positive and negative ratings and the rate per article. Repeated votes by the same visitor are limited by cookie. No personal data is stored unless the visitor enters it in the free text.
- Thumbs up or down, optionally with free text
- Statistics per article and per category in the admin
- Multiple votes limited by cookie
Magento 2 knowledge base and SEO: FAQPage, HowTo and breadcrumbs
Depending on the article type the module outputs matching structured markup: FAQPage for question and answer articles, HowTo for numbered guides. Breadcrumbs, canonical and hreflang per store view come on top. All articles are in the XML sitemap. Whether search engines turn this into rich results is up to the provider, the markup itself is technically complete.
- FAQPage and HowTo per article type
- Breadcrumb, canonical and hreflang
- Inclusion in the XML sitemap

Magento 2 knowledge base: with and without the module compared

| Findability | Scattered CMS pages | Categories, search and related articles |
| Quality control | No reader feedback | Helpful rating and statistics |

Scope compared to the FAQ module, blog and CMS pages
The FAQ module answers single questions, the blog publishes time-bound posts. The Magento 2 knowledge base instead is its own area with category tree, search, rating and evaluation for lasting help content.
All modules can be combined; you can link knowledge base articles from product pages and the contact area.
No download, but personal setup
The Knowledge Base is not listed here as a ready-made download file for self-installation. The purchase is an order for a service: we get in touch after the purchase, install the module in your shop and agree structure, article types and path together with you.
