Automate Magento 2 Internal Linking: keyword rules instead of manual work
With the Mironsoft Magento 2 Internal Linking you define rules that connect a keyword with a target URL. The module inserts the links automatically on output in CMS pages, product descriptions and blog posts without you having to edit the content one by one. Limits per page and per rule prevent over-linking. Magento 2 Internal Linking does not change stored texts but works on output and can be switched off at any time.
Keyword to URL
One rule connects a keyword or several variants with a target page.
Limits against over-linking
Maximum links per page, per rule and per paragraph are adjustable.
CMS, product and blog
Rules apply to CMS pages, product descriptions and blog posts as you choose.
Selectable internal targets
The target is a category, a product, a CMS page or a free URL.
Output instead of database
Links are created on render; the stored texts stay unchanged.
Preview and report
The report shows per rule on how many pages it took effect.
Why Magento 2 Internal Linking can be automated
Internal links help visitors find related content and give search engines hints about the structure of your shop. In practice maintenance fails because of volume: hundreds of products, dozens of guides and CMS pages cannot be reviewed by hand every time a new category appears.
Magento 2 Internal Linking takes this work off your hands. You define once that the keyword coffee grinder should point to the category coffee grinders, and the module sets the link wherever the word appears until the chosen limit is reached. New content benefits immediately.
Control Magento 2 Internal Linking with keyword rules
A rule consists of a keyword, optional variants, a target and settings such as case sensitivity, whole word and opening in the same window. Priorities decide which rule wins when two keywords overlap. Rules can be created per store view so German and English texts each get their own targets.
- Keyword with variants and priority
- Target: category, product, CMS page or URL
- Rules per store view, enable and pause
Limits and exceptions against over-linking
Too many links feel disruptive and harm readability. You therefore define how often a rule applies per page, how many automatic links a page may receive in total and how many per paragraph. Headings, already linked text, buttons and selected HTML areas are excluded. Single pages can be excluded from automatic linking completely.
- Limit links per rule, paragraph and page
- Headings and existing links are skipped
- Exclude single pages with a switch
Magento 2 Internal Linking in CMS, product and blog
Per rule you choose which content it affects: CMS pages and blocks, product descriptions, category descriptions or blog posts. A guide can then point to products without product pages constantly pointing back to the guide. The target is never linked on its own page, so a self-reference is omitted.
- Choose content types per rule
- No self-linking of the target page
- Works in blocks and category texts too
Keep the output filter, cache and report in view
Links are inserted into the output on render and kept in the cache with the pages. If you change a rule, only the affected pages are rebuilt. The report lists per rule the number of links set and the pages where they appear. Broken targets, such as deleted categories, are flagged so you can adjust the rule.
- Insert on render, stored texts unchanged
- Clear cache only for affected pages
- Report per rule and flag dead targets
Where Magento 2 Internal Linking helps in everyday shop life

New categories
When a category is created, one rule is enough for existing texts to point to it immediately.
Large catalogs
Thousands of product descriptions point to accessory and topic pages without manual work.
Multilingual shops
Each language gets its own keywords and targets that fit the respective content.
Magento 2 Internal Linking: without and with the module
The difference to linking by hand.
| Topic | Without module | With Mironsoft Internal Link Automation |
|---|---|---|
| Effort | Edit every text individually | One rule works in many texts |
| New targets | Old texts stay without a link | Rule applies everywhere at once |
| Control | No overview | Report per rule and page |
| Stored texts | Get modified | Stay unchanged |
| Over-linking | Depends on the editor | Limits per rule, paragraph and page |

Scope compared with SEO modules and link lists
The Mironsoft SEO Suite takes care of meta data, canonical and structured data. Related-product modules also set references, but as blocks, not in running text. Magento 2 Internal Linking, in contrast, works in the text itself, at the places where a keyword occurs.
All modules can be combined. The module needs no JavaScript in the storefront; links are created server-side on render.
No download, but personal setup
Internal Link Automation is not listed here as a ready-made download file to install yourself. The purchase is an order for a service: we contact you after the purchase, install the module in your shop and create rules, limits and exceptions together with you.
