01No email sent into the void

Payment first, then the email

By default, Magento sends the order confirmation immediately at checkout — before it is even clear whether the payment actually succeeded. With payment methods that confirm with a delay (certain online payment gateways, for example), that can cause confusion if the payment later fails. This module holds the email back until the gateway response actually confirms the payment.

Does that mean no order confirmation gets sent at all?
No, it is still sent — just after the payment gateway response confirms successful payment, instead of immediately at checkout.
What happens if the gateway response never arrives?
A configurable timeout fallback sends the email anyway after a set delay, so customers are never left without a confirmation.
Is this a WYSIWYG editor for the email design?
No. The module controls the send timing, not the design. Design stays configurable through Magento's usual sales-email templates.
Will this work with my payment gateway?
During setup we check whether your payment gateway provides an evaluable confirmation response and configure accordingly.
Can this be combined with Follow Up Email?
Yes, the two modules complement each other: Order Confirmation Email only affects the timing of the one transactional confirmation, Follow Up Email covers additional marketing emails with a time delay.
Does this run with Hyvä?
Yes, the module is compatible with Hyvä themes as well as Magento 2.3.x through 2.4.9 and Adobe Commerce/Cloud.
Can I turn the module off again at any time?
Yes, via the admin toggle at any time — Magento then goes back to sending the confirmation immediately, its default behavior.
Can I download and install the module myself?
