With the Magento 2 shipping restrictions module you decide which shipping methods appear for which product, customer group, country and postcode. Bulky goods disappear from the parcel choice, islands only get the right freight carrier, hazardous items stay on approved routes. Attribute, category or fixed list: bulky goods, liquids or batteries do not take certain routes.

Magento 2 shipping restrictions per product: one rule, three questions
Every rule answers three questions: which shipping methods does it cover, under which conditions and with which outcome? Conditions are product attribute, category, customer group, country, region, postcode pattern, weight and cart value. The outcome is block or allow. "Furniture freight never abroad" or "no parcel service above 31.5 kg" becomes a single traceable line.
All rules carry a priority. A specific exception such as "freight allowed for business customers" beats the general block without deleting or rebuilding anything.

Magento 2 shipping restrictions by postcode: islands, mountains, special zones
Postcodes can be entered as single values, ranges ("25980-25999"), prefixes ("257*") or lists. This controls island surcharges, zones without weekend delivery or regions a carrier does not serve. Countries work the same way: complete lists or single exceptions.
The rule takes effect as soon as the customer enters country and postcode in the cart or checkout. The offer of methods adapts without a page reload through Alpine.js in the Hyvä checkout.

Magento 2 shipping restrictions in mixed carts: a clear message when no method is left
In a mixed cart you decide whether a single affected item blocks the method or whether all items must be affected. If no method remains, the shop shows your message, for example "We deliver this item to your address by freight only, please contact us". Optionally a note already appears on the product page.
The admin test tool runs every combination of country, postcode, customer group and products. New rules are verified there before a customer ever meets them.

Scope and notes on Magento 2 shipping restrictions
The module blocks shipping methods, not payment methods. For payment restrictions by country, group or cart, Mironsoft's Payment Restriction applies. Restrictions from hazardous-goods, customs or alcohol law are your responsibility as a merchant. The module reproduces your requirements technically but does not replace the legal check of whether a product may be shipped by a given route.
Typical rules are quickly described. Example one: items with the attribute bulky may only ship by freight or pick-up, so the parcel methods are blocked. Example two: the postcodes of the North Sea islands get their own shipping route and all standard parcels are hidden there. Example three: customers in the reseller group may additionally choose pallet delivery, consumers may not. Each of these rules consists of a few fields and can later be changed without programming.
Because the rules apply while the shipping methods are determined, the checkout stays fast. No extra pages are loaded and no third-party scripts are included. Priority and store-view assignment keep a long rule list manageable, and a validity date covers products that are only blocked for a short time.
