Magento 2 Review Badge with stars and AggregateRating schema
With the Mironsoft Magento 2 Review Badge you show the rating of your shop from a review portal as a badge with stars, in the header, footer, product page or on any CMS page. You maintain the values in the admin, and the module outputs them as plain HTML and SVG without any script from the portal. Optionally it adds the matching AggregateRating schema.
Badge as widget
You place the review badge as a widget in layout, CMS pages and blocks without code.
Stars as SVG
The stars are drawn as SVG, show half stars and stay sharp on every screen.
Several portals
Create several review sources, each with name, value, count and link to the profile.
AggregateRating schema
Optionally JSON-LD with average and number of reviews is generated.
No third-party script
No script from the portal is loaded, so no connections to third parties arise on page load.
Freshness note
A date stamp on each source shows when the values were last maintained.
Why merchants output a Magento 2 Review Badge themselves
Reviews build trust, especially with customers who do not know the shop. Many portals offer a badge for this that is embedded as a script. The script loads data and images from a foreign server, slows the page down and triggers a connection to a third party on page load. That is why merchants look for a Magento 2 Review Badge that they can output themselves.
With the Magento 2 Review Badge, value, count and link live in the shop. The badge is delivered together with the page, matches the design and is also visible in the page output for search engines. Whether and how you may display the values of a portal is governed by its terms and by competition law; the review lies with the shop operator.
Magento 2 Review Badge: maintain sources and values in the admin
For each review source you record the name, average value, number of reviews, the scale (for example 5) and the link to the profile. A date stamp shows when you last compared the figures. You upload the logo of the portal yourself if you are allowed to use it. Each source can be switched on and off per store view.
- Name, value, count, scale and profile link per source
- Date stamp and logo upload
- Source can be switched per store view
Place the Magento 2 Review Badge as a widget
The badge comes in three displays: compact with stars and value, as a card with logo and count, and as a line for the footer. With the widget you choose source and display and put it into the header, footer, product page, cart or any CMS page. The design uses Tailwind and Alpine.js of the Hyvä theme, so no additional script is needed. The link to the profile opens in a new tab and carries rel noopener.
- Three displays: compact, card, footer line
- Placement via widget in layout or CMS
- Profile link with rel noopener in a new tab
AggregateRating schema for the Magento 2 Review Badge
If you enable it, the module outputs JSON-LD with ratingValue, bestRating and ratingCount, assigned to the organization or the shop. This lets the page show machine-readably what the badge shows visually. Note that search engines have their own rules about which reviews may appear in results; the module outputs the schema, but whether it is displayed is decided by the search engine. The schema can be switched off per source.
- JSON-LD with value, scale and count
- Assignment to organization or shop
- Can be switched off per source
Freshness and privacy of the review badge
The module does not fetch data from portals but shows what you entered in the admin. A reminder in the admin appears when the date stamp is older than a configurable number of days. This way the badge does not go stale unnoticed. Because no script of a third party is loaded, no cookie banner entry is needed for it; the legal review stays with the shop operator.
- No requests to portals, no connection to third parties
- Reminder for an outdated date stamp
- Entered values can be imported via CSV

Delimitation from review import, review incentives and testimonials
The review import from Mironsoft transfers product reviews into the shop, review incentives reward customers for rating, the review reminder asks for a review after the purchase, and testimonials show selected quotes. The Magento 2 Review Badge instead shows the overall rating of a portal as a badge and adds the schema.
The modules can be combined. The badge needs no extra library and uses Alpine.js of the Hyvä theme.
No download — personal setup instead
The Magento 2 Review Badge is not listed here as a ready-made download file for self-installation. The purchase is a service commission: we get in touch after the purchase, install the module in your shop and agree on sources, display and schema together with you.
