Magento 2 Price Alert: shoppers wait for their price and come back
With the Mironsoft Magento 2 price alert, a visitor sets a target price on the product page and enters an email address. After double opt-in confirmation, the module watches the price. When it drops to the target or below, the customer receives an email with a direct link to the product. A visitor who does not buy today becomes a lead with a confirmed address. The form runs on Alpine.js inside the Hyvä theme and needs no further library.
Enter a target price
A slim form on the product page: target price, email, submit. That is all the customer needs.
Double opt-in
The alert only becomes active after a click on the confirmation link, and consent is logged.
All price types
The check uses the real selling price including special price, tier price and customer group price.
Email notification
The email shows old and new price, the product image and a direct link to the item.
Account overview
Logged-in customers manage their alerts in their account and delete them with one click.
Demand report
In the admin you see how many customers would buy at which price.
Why customers want a Magento 2 price alert
Many visitors like a product but not its price. They switch tabs, compare and rarely return. Merchants therefore look for a Magento 2 price alert, a price watcher or a target price notification that keeps the contact alive. By default Magento only offers a notification on price change in the wishlist, not a freely chosen target price.
You gain twice: the customer returns at the right moment, and you learn which prices the market expects for your items. That helps promotion planning and purchasing more than any guess.
Magento 2 price alert on the product page: target price in two fields
The form appears as a button next to the add-to-cart button or below the price and opens as an Alpine dialog. Logged-in customers see their email address prefilled. The target price is checked against the current price: if it is higher, the page politely points out that the item is already cheaper. For configurable products the customer chooses the variant the alert applies to.
- Button at a selectable position, dialog without page change
- Check against the current price, hint for a too high target
- Variants of configurable products selectable
Double opt-in for the Magento 2 price alert: clean and provable
After submitting, the customer receives a confirmation email. Only the click on the link activates the alert. Time and confirmation are stored, for guests as well as customers. Every later email contains an unsubscribe link that ends all alerts of that address or only the single alert. The legal assessment stays with the shop owner, the module supplies the technical building blocks for it.
- Alert active only after the confirmation click
- Timestamp and consent text in the log
- Unsubscribe per alert or for the whole address
How the Magento 2 price alert checks the real selling price
A cron job regularly compares the target price with the final price your customer would actually pay. This includes special prices with a date range, tier prices, catalog price rules and customer group prices. With several currencies and websites the check uses the currency of the signup. Once the value is reached, the email goes out and the alert ends. Optionally it stays active for follow-up promotions, with a minimum gap between two emails.
- Final price including special and group prices
- Currency and website of the signup stay decisive
- One-time alert or recurring with minimum gap
Reading Magento 2 price alert demand in the admin: which prices customers expect
The admin grid lists all alerts with product, target price, status and date. The demand report groups by product and shows how many customers would buy at which price. From that you see whether a small price cut would bring many buyers. You can block, delete or export alerts as CSV. Customers see their own alerts in their account and can change target values there.
- Grid with filters by product, status and period
- Demand report per product and price level
- Customers edit and delete alerts in their own account
Where the Magento 2 price alert helps in daily shop work
Typical situations where the Magento 2 price alert beats a bookmark.
High-priced items
For appliances and furniture customers compare for a long time. The price alert keeps the contact until your next promotion reaches their target.
Season and clearance
Before the sale you see at which price many customers would buy and set the discount level accordingly.
Watching market prices
When your purchase price fluctuates, customers are notified automatically as soon as your selling price falls below their threshold.
Building your newsletter
Every confirmed address comes from a prospect with a concrete product wish, not from an anonymous form.

How it differs from back-in-stock alerts and the price history
The Mironsoft back-in-stock notification tells customers when a sold-out item is available again. The price history documents the lowest price of the last 30 days as a mandatory statement for discounts. The Magento 2 price alert works differently: the customer chooses the value at which they want to buy.
All modules can be combined. The form runs on Alpine.js in the Hyvä theme, without jQuery and without an extra library. The data protection review of the email dispatch lies with the shop owner.
No download, but personal setup
Product Price Alert is not listed here as a ready-made download file to install yourself. The purchase is a commission: after the purchase we get in touch, install the module in your shop and agree on form, check interval and email texts together with you.
