New products sell better when visitors recognise them as new. If you set the “New” label by hand, you forget it when creating the product and never remove it again. The Magento 2 new product badge in this module is created automatically from the creation date or the new period and disappears once the configured period is over.
The extension is deliberately lean: one badge, one job. It appears in categories, search and on the product page, uses Tailwind classes in the Hyvä theme and needs no additional JavaScript. Detecting a Magento 2 new product badge automatically: creation date and new period
In the admin you choose how the module recognises “new”: by the creation date of the product or by the new-from/to period Magento already knows. You also set the number of days. Every product created within that period receives the badge. If you create products ahead of launch, use the new period to control the start.

Display of the New badge in listing, search and product page
The badge is placed with Tailwind classes on the product tile and in the gallery area of the product page. You set text and color per store view. No additional JavaScript is created, and the badge does not cover other elements because the position in the chosen corner works with an offset.

New badge and full-page cache: expiry without flushing everything
A New badge has to disappear even when the category page sits in the full-page cache. That is why a cron job works out daily which products lose their new status and invalidates the related cache tags specifically. The cache stays fast and the display matches the expiry day. A product attribute additionally lets you force or suppress the badge in individual cases.
