In the admin you create as many options as you like, such as gift paper, a box with ribbon or a fabric bag. Each option has a name, photo, short description, price and store-view translation. In the cart the customer decides with one click whether the whole order or single items should be gift-wrapped.
The price is calculated per order or per item. That covers both the flat service and individual wrapping without writing price logic into products.

Magento 2 gift wrap with a greeting card and a personal message
A card often belongs with the wrapping. Customers type their message in the cart, optionally pick a card design and see a character counter. You set the limit so the text fits the card. Special characters are handled safely, and the text appears unchanged in the order view and on the picking list.
The card text is stored with the order. That makes it part of the order data, with the same retention periods and deletion rules as everything else.

Magento 2 gift wrap: delivery note without prices for gift shipments
Whoever sends a gift to another address does not want the recipient to see prices. For gift orders the module switches price display off on the packing slip and delivery note. Exceptions can be defined, for example customs papers for international shipments. Digital and bulky products are excluded from the gift option through an attribute.
The wrapping shows in the order confirmation, customer account, invoice and admin as its own line with its own tax class, so accounting and customer see the same figure.

Because the options, prices and card designs are maintained in the admin, seasonal changes need no developer: add a new paper for the holidays, retire it in January and keep the rest untouched. The same applies to translations, which stay separate for every store view, so an English customer sees English labels and a German customer German ones, each with the price in the right currency.
