Why Magento 2 dropshipping without automation quickly turns into manual work
Dropshipping sounds simple: the customer orders from you, the supplier ships. In practice, staff copy orders into emails, maintain spreadsheets and ask suppliers for tracking numbers. Which order is forwarded when is set by a trigger, such as payment received or the status processing. The module splits the order by supplier and sends each one only its own items. Depending on the supplier this happens as an email with order text, as a CSV file in the agreed column format or as an API call to the supplier’s system. The sender on the delivery note stays neutral, so the customer receives your goods from you and does not see your supplier’s details.

Magento 2 dropshipping: fetch tracking back from the supplier and hand it to the customer
As soon as the supplier ships, they report carrier and tracking number back, depending on the agreement by CSV import, by feedback to an API endpoint or by manual entry in the admin. The module creates the shipment on the order, sets the item status to shipped and sends the tracking email to the customer. For partial deliveries the customer receives one email per delivery. If feedback stays out longer than agreed, the overview marks the item as overdue.

Every order item passes the stages open, sent, confirmed, shipped and completed. If a transfer fails, the module retries after an adjustable interval and informs your team by email as soon as all attempts are used up.
