Magento 2 Customer Reactivation: win-back mails for inactive accounts
With the Mironsoft module, Magento 2 Customer Reactivation reaches customers who have not ordered for weeks or months. The module detects customers by days since their last order, assigns them to a segment and sends a matching win-back mail, optionally with a personal coupon. Magento 2 Customer Reactivation needs neither an external mailing tool nor an export list: segments, delivery and success tracking live in your shop admin.
Inactivity segments
Segments by days since the last order, for example 90, 180 or 365 days.
Several mail templates
One template per segment with subject, copy and store view translation.
Win-back coupon
Personal code from a price rule, with validity and minimum order value.
Suppression and consent
Customers without marketing consent and addresses on the suppression list never receive a mail.
Customer group filter
Single groups such as wholesale or staff can be excluded.
Success tracking
Sent, reordered and revenue per segment in one overview.
Why Magento 2 Customer Reactivation pays off
Winning back an existing customer usually costs less than finding a new one. They know your shop, have ordered before and trust you. Still, many customers drift away quietly without anyone noticing. Out of the box Magento has no tool to address inactive accounts in a targeted way.
Magento 2 Customer Reactivation needs two things: a reliable definition of inactive and a mail that fits the time gap. After 90 days a friendly reminder is enough, after a year a coupon may be appropriate. The module maps exactly this gradation.
Magento 2 Customer Reactivation: segments by inactivity
A segment consists of a range of days since the last order, for example 90 to 179 days. Optionally you limit it by minimum revenue, number of previous orders or customer group, so regular customers are addressed differently from one-time buyers. Segments are recalculated daily, so a customer automatically moves to the next segment if they stay inactive.
- Range in days since the last order
- Filters by revenue, order count and customer group
- Daily recalculation by cron
Win-back coupon and mail template per segment
Every segment has its own template and can contain a coupon. The code is generated per recipient from a cart price rule and is limited in time. The mail can show recently purchased or matching products so it does not feel generic. You maintain subject and copy per store view, and the preview shows the mail with sample data.
- Individual code per recipient from a price rule
- Show recently purchased products in the mail
- Subject and copy per store view with preview
Keep sending limits and consent under control
To avoid flooding customers, a minimum gap between two reactivation mails and an annual cap per customer apply. Anyone who orders in the meantime leaves the segment, and mails already queued are dropped. Customers without marketing consent or who have unsubscribed are not contacted. Whether and how you may advertise is for the shop operator to review legally.
- Minimum gap and yearly limit per customer
- Exclusion on order, unsubscribe or missing consent
- Unsubscribe link in every mail
Measure the success of reactivation
The report shows per segment how many mails were sent, how many customers ordered again within a defined window and how much revenue resulted. From this you see at which inactivity a coupon pays off and when a reminder is enough. Delivery can be paused per segment without stopping the others.
- Sent, reordered and revenue per segment
- Attribution window in days is adjustable
- Pause segments individually
Where you can use Magento 2 Customer Reactivation
Typical situations in which a targeted win-back mail pays off.
Consumables
Coffee, care products or pet supplies are bought regularly. If the order fails to appear, the mail reminds the customer to restock.
Seasonal buyers
Customers who buy only once a year receive a note about new products shortly before the next season.
Lost regulars
Someone who used to order often and suddenly disappears gets a personal-feeling mail with a coupon.
B2B reordering
Business customers with recurring demand are reminded to reorder after a defined period.
Magento 2 Customer Reactivation: without and with the module
Magento 2 Customer Reactivation with a manual export list or with the module: the difference.
| Topic | Without module | With Mironsoft Reactivation Emails |
|---|---|---|
| Target group | Manual export by order date | Segments by days, updated daily |
| Coupon | Created and distributed by hand | Individual code per recipient, automatic |
| Protection from over-mailing | Depends on discipline in the team | Minimum gap and yearly limit |
| Matching with orders | List outdated after days | An order removes the customer from the segment |
| Success tracking | Estimate after the fact | Reordered and revenue per segment |

Scope compared with cart reminders and follow-up mails
The Mironsoft cart reminder contacts people hours after an abandoned purchase. Follow-up mails accompany a fresh order. With Magento 2 Customer Reactivation the focus is on weeks or months without any order, regardless of a specific cart.
The modules can be combined; a shared suppression list prevents a customer from receiving several mails on the same day. The interface needs no additional library.
No download, but personal setup
Reactivation Emails is not listed here as a ready-made download file to install yourself. The purchase is an order for a service: we contact you after the purchase, install the module in your shop and agree on segments, mail templates and coupon together with you.
