Magento 2 Browse Abandonment Emails: a reminder after viewed products
Magento 2 Browse Abandonment Emails from Mironsoft send customers who have consented a reminder when they looked at products but put nothing in the cart. The module records visits only of identified users who agreed to be contacted, and sends on a schedule that you define in the admin. Frequency caps, an unsubscribe link and exclusions are built in. The frontend uses Alpine.js in the Hyvä theme and needs no extra library.
Reminder after viewing
An email with the most recently viewed products when the cart stayed empty.
Consent only
Recording and sending happen only with an existing opt-in, never for anonymous visitors.
Schedule
Waiting time after the visit, sending window and up to three steps per schedule.
Exclusions
Already purchased, unavailable or excluded products do not appear.
Frequency cap
At most one email in X days per recipient, plus a suppression list.
Reporting
Sends, opens, clicks and follow-up purchases per schedule and store view.
Why Magento 2 Browse Abandonment Emails bring extra revenue
Most visitors do not buy on the first visit. Someone who views a product several times is interested but not sure. A timely, relevant reminder with exactly that product brings many of them back. The classic cart reminder does not help here, because the cart stayed empty.
With Magento 2 Browse Abandonment Emails you close this gap. The framework matters: promotional emails are only permitted with consent in Germany and many other countries. The module is therefore designed for opt-in, unsubscribing and data minimisation from the start. The legal assessment stays with the shop operator and is not legal advice from Mironsoft.
Recording with consent only: whom Magento 2 Browse Abandonment Emails address
The module stores product views only for logged-in customers who agreed to email contact in your shop, for example through the newsletter opt-in. Visitors without consent stay out, there is no tracking of anonymous users. Stored are customer, product and time, no browser data. You set the retention period in days, after which a cron job deletes the entries.
- Logged-in customers with opt-in only
- No tracking of anonymous visitors
- Retention in days, deletion via cron
Schedule and steps: when which email goes out
Per schedule of the Magento 2 Browse Abandonment Emails you define how long to wait after the last visit, for example two hours or one day, and in which sending window the email may go out. Optionally a second step follows after a few days. A minimum number of viewed products and a maximum in the email prevent random lists from being sent. If the customer meanwhile adds something to the cart or buys, the schedule stops.
- Waiting time, sending window and up to three steps
- Minimum and maximum number of viewed products
- Stop on cart or purchase
Email template with products, unsubscribe link and exclusions
Each of the Magento 2 Browse Abandonment Emails shows the most recently viewed products with image, name and price. Unavailable, already purchased and excluded items are removed. Every email contains a clear unsubscribe link that puts the customer on the suppression list at once. You maintain the template per store view with the Magento editor, and you align the sender data with your legal notice.
- Products with image, name and current price
- Unsubscribe link in every email, effective at once
- Template per store view, sender from configuration
Frequency, suppression list and reporting
A frequency cap limits the number of emails per recipient, for example at most one every seven days. Anyone who unsubscribes or withdraws consent lands on the suppression list. The report in the admin shows sends, opens, clicks and follow-up purchases so that you can see whether a schedule pays off. A log documents every send with time and schedule.
- At most one email in X days per recipient
- Suppression list on unsubscribe and withdrawal
- Send log and reporting per schedule
Where Magento 2 Browse Abandonment Emails make sense
Four situations in which Magento 2 Browse Abandonment Emails fit.
High-priced products
With furniture, electronics or tools customers decide late. A reminder after one day keeps the product in mind.
Returning visitors
Someone who views the same product several times receives an email with exactly that item instead of a general promotion.
Newsletter newcomers
Freshly subscribed readers are receptive and receive their first personalised email.
Back-in-stock goods
If a viewed product has meanwhile been discounted or is available again, the email can name that.
Magento 2 Browse Abandonment Emails: with and without the module compared
The difference to manual newsletter campaigns.
| Topic | Without module | With Mironsoft Browse Abandonment Emails |
|---|---|---|
| Audience | All subscribers get the same campaign | Only customers with consent and matching product interest |
| Timing | Fixed newsletter date | Waiting time after the visit, with sending window |
| Content | General offers | The most recently viewed products |
| Privacy | Poorly documented | Opt-in, retention period, suppression list and log |
| Control | Manual | Frequency cap, stop rules, reporting |
How we set up Magento 2 Browse Abandonment Emails for you
The process after you place the order.
Briefing
We clarify which consent exists in your shop and how it is documented. The recording builds on that.
Installation
We install the module, set up Magento 2 Browse Abandonment Emails for your store views and create the first schedule. Afterwards we check recording, exclusions and cron.
Email template
We style the email in your layout, per language, with unsubscribe link and sender data.
Testing
We test sending, stopping on cart or purchase, the frequency cap and unsubscribing.
Handover
Your team gets an introduction to schedules and reporting. You review privacy policy and consent text with your legal adviser.
Delimitation from the abandoned cart reminder
The abandoned cart reminder from Mironsoft emails customers who put products in the cart but did not order. Magento 2 Browse Abandonment Emails start earlier: when products are viewed, without a cart existing. Both modules can run side by side if you make sure the same customer does not receive both emails at once. The frequency cap applies across modules.
Important note: promotional emails require consent under unfair-competition and data-protection law in Germany. The module supports you technically but does not replace a legal review. Which legal basis applies to your shop you should clarify with your legal adviser.
No download — personal setup instead
Browse Abandonment Emails is not listed here as a ready-made download file for self-installation. The purchase is a service commission: we get in touch after the purchase, install the module in your shop and agree on schedule, email template and privacy settings together with you.
