Pure infinite scroll without a fallback is a well-known SEO risk: crawlers don't scroll, so they never reach the later products in a long category. That's why the classic pagination URLs (page 2, 3, 4 …) remain fully intact in the background — visitors see seamless scrolling, while search engines still get every single page with its own indexable URL.
