Depending on the situation, an import should create new attributes, extend existing ones, or overwrite them entirely. All three modes are available per import run, so the same CSV structure can be reused for different use cases.
- Add: only new attributes are created
- Update: existing values are extended or changed
- Replace: old data is fully overwritten
One faulty record doesn't stop the entire import
With large CSV files containing hundreds of rows, a single typo shouldn't block the whole import. A configurable error threshold defines how many problems are allowed before the import automatically stops — until then, faulty rows are skipped and logged.
