Magento 2 Verified Buyer Badge: trust through checked reviews
The Magento 2 Verified Buyer Badge from Mironsoft checks every new review to see whether the author actually ordered the product, and marks it with a Verified Purchase note. The match runs through the customer account or the email address on the order. Visitors see at a glance which voices come from real buyers. The Magento 2 Verified Buyer Badge works with Alpine.js in the Hyvä theme and can be set per store view.
Order matching
When a review is saved, the module looks for an order containing exactly this product.
Account or email
Logged-in customers are recognised by customer ID, guests by the email on the order.
Status rules
You choose which order statuses count; cancelled and refunded orders never do.
Minimum gap
Optionally the badge appears only after a few days have passed since shipment or invoice.
List filter
Visitors show only reviews from verified buyers with a single click.
Admin control
A dedicated column shows the status and lets staff set or remove the badge by hand.
Why shops secure their reviews with a Magento 2 Verified Buyer Badge
Reviews help decide a purchase, and visitors know it. They wonder whether a voice comes from a real buyer or from someone who never held the product. Out of the box Magento stores a name and a text, but no hint of an order. Merchants who search for Magento 2 verified purchase or Magento 2 verify reviews want to close exactly that gap.
With the Magento 2 Verified Buyer Badge a loose piece of text becomes a statement that can be traced. The badge hangs on a real order, not on a claim. That raises credibility without forcing you to restrict reviews: unverified voices stay visible, just without the seal.
Magento 2 Verified Buyer Badge: matching against the real order
As soon as a review is saved, the module searches the customer orders for the reviewed product. For configurable products, buying the variant counts as well. If a matching line is found, the review receives the Verified Purchase badge. Guests are assigned through the email address of the order, so a check works even without an account.
- Customer ID or email address as the key
- Variants of configurable products map to the parent product
- Check on save, with no waiting time for the visitor
Which orders count: status, gap and exceptions
Not every order proves a genuine purchase. In the configuration you select the order statuses that count, for example shipped or complete. Cancelled and fully refunded orders are excluded. A minimum gap in days prevents a review before the goods have arrived. Partial refunds can be taken into account as well.
- Eligible order statuses as a multiselect
- Minimum gap in days since shipment or invoice
- Cancellation and full refund rule out the badge
Badge, filter and counter in the review list
The badge sits right next to the reviewer name, with its own text and colour per store view. Above the list a counter shows how many reviews are verified. A switch displays only those reviews. The interface uses Alpine.js and the Tailwind classes of the Hyvä theme, without an extra library. The review text stays unchanged in the HTML.
- Own badge text and colour per store view
- Counter "x of y verified" above the list
- Verified-only filter without a page reload
Admin column, manual override and re-check of existing reviews
In the admin the review overview shows an extra column with the status. A staff member can set the badge by hand, for instance when the customer bought in a physical store, or remove it. A cron job or console command re-checks existing reviews so that older voices receive a badge too. Every change is stored with a date.
- Column and mass action in the review grid
- Re-check of all existing reviews via cron or command
- Log with date and source (automatic or manual)

Scope compared with review approval and review reminders
Approving reviews in the admin decides whether a voice is published. The review reminder email asks buyers for feedback after delivery. The Magento 2 Verified Buyer Badge answers a different question: does the review come from someone who ordered?
The Magento 2 Verified Buyer Badge is information for visitors. Which statements about reviews you are required to make should be clarified with your legal advisor. All modules can be combined.
No download, but personal setup
The Verified Buyer Badge is not listed here as a ready-made download for self-installation. The purchase is an order for our service: we contact you after the purchase, install the module in your shop and agree on order statuses, minimum gap and badge text together with you.
