Magento 2 Share Wishlist: from wish list to gift list
With the Magento 2 share wishlist module from Mironsoft customers pass on their wishlist by link or email. Friends and family open it without an account, see the wishes with their prices, add items to the cart and mark gifts as reserved so nothing is bought twice. The owner can revoke sharing at any time. The interface is an Alpine.js component for Hyvä and needs no additional library.
Share by link
One click creates a random link to the wishlist that the owner copies and pastes anywhere.
Send by email
The list goes to several recipients with a personal message, with a limit against misuse.
View without account
Recipients open the list as guests and see products, prices and the comments of the owner.
Reserve
A gift can be marked as reserved; only visitors see the marker, not the owner.
Add to cart
From the shared list an item lands in the recipient cart with one click.
Revoke any time
The owner switches sharing off, and the link becomes invalid immediately.
Why customers want to share their Magento 2 wishlist
A wishlist is rarely meant for its owner alone. At Christmas, a wedding or a birthday it serves as orientation for those who give presents, and it helps couples and teams to decide together. Merchants therefore search for a Magento 2 share wishlist feature, for a wishlist link, and for a way to make the wishlist public.
The default is limited to email invitations. Anyone who wants to share a Magento 2 wishlist also wants a link for messengers and chats, a view without an account and a reservation against duplicate gifts. That is exactly the gap the module closes, turning the wishlist into a sales tool.
Magento 2 share wishlist via link or email
A Share button appears in the wishlist. It opens a small window with the link to copy and a form for emails. The link contains a long random value, no customer number. For email dispatch you limit the number of recipients per action and per day so that the form cannot be abused for spam. A captcha can optionally be added.
- Copy the link or email several recipients
- Limit per action and per day adjustable
- Optional captcha protection in the form
Magento 2 share wishlist: view without account and cart button
Whoever opens the link sees products, images, prices and the comments of the owner in a clear list. Availability and price come up to date from the shop. One click puts the item into the cart, also as a guest. You decide which details are visible: first name of the owner, prices, comments. Items that cannot be delivered stay on the list but are marked as such.
- Guests see products, prices and comments
- Visible details adjustable in the admin
- Unavailable items are marked
Reserve gifts: no more duplicate purchases
With Magento 2 share wishlist, recipients mark a wish as reserved. Other visitors then see it as taken, while the owner learns nothing and stays surprised. If the item is ordered later, the marker can switch to Bought automatically. Without an account a name or initials are enough, which only the person who reserved can remove again. Whoever does not want reservations switches them off in the admin.
- Reserved marker that the owner does not see
- Automatically Bought after the item is ordered
- Reservation can be switched off in the admin
Control for owners and shop operators
Magento 2 share wishlist keeps the owner in control: in their account they see whether the list is shared and can renew the link or end sharing. An expiry date for the link is optional. In the admin you find an overview of shared lists and block single links in case of misuse. The email is provided as a template per store view. No address or payment data is stored, and the legal assessment under data protection law stays with the shop operator.
- Renew, end or give the link an expiry date
- Admin overview of shared lists with blocking
- Email template per store view

Difference to the wishlist panel, Ajax wishlist and multiple lists
The wishlist panel from Mironsoft shows the list as a drawer like the minicart, and the Ajax wishlist adds products without a page change. The multiple wishlists module keeps several lists per customer. The module for Magento 2 share wishlist serves a different purpose: it passes an existing list on to third parties and gives them a view of their own.
The modules can be combined. Everything runs with Alpine.js in the Hyvä theme, without an additional library.
No download — personal setup instead
Wishlist Share is not listed here as a ready-made download file for self-installation. The purchase is a service commission: we get in touch after the purchase, install the module in your shop and agree on reservation, limits and email template together with you.
