Magento 2 Product Clone: a copy with choices instead of an all-or-nothing duplicate
With the Magento 2 Product Clone from Mironsoft you create a copy of an existing product and decide beforehand what is taken over: images, categories, custom options, related products, stock, texts per store view. The module builds the new SKU from a pattern you define. The dialog appears right on the product page in the admin and replaces the standard Duplicate button with a selection. Several copies can be created in one step, for example for sizes or colours.

Why the standard duplicate often costs more work than it saves
Magento offers a Duplicate function on the product page. It copies almost everything, sets the copy to disabled and assigns a random SKU with a number appended. Merchants who create series of similar products then have to remove categories, swap images, clean up options and correct the SKU. That is why they look for a solution in which a Magento 2 Product Clone works selectively and with its own SKU pattern.

The Magento 2 Product Clone dialog lists all copyable areas: base data, images, categories, custom options, cross-sells, up-sells, tier prices, stock, texts of single store views and attributes. You tick boxes and the rest stays empty. You save presets as a profile, for example variant without images or full copy with stock zero. When physical images are copied, each file is stored anew so that the original stays protected.

Define the SKU pattern when cloning in Magento 2
A pattern builds the SKU of the copy from placeholders: original SKU, running counter, date or a value from an attribute such as colour. The counter looks for the next free number and skips assigned ones. The pattern also works for the URL key and the product name, for instance with the suffix Copy. Before the copy is created, a preview shows the SKUs about to be assigned, so you spot typos before creating.

Create several copies in one step and let values differ
For series you add several rows, each with its own name, price and attribute value such as size or colour. The module creates all copies in one run and logs what was created. For large series the creation runs as a background job through the Magento message queue, so the admin is not blocked. If one row fails, for example because of a duplicate SKU, the others are still created and the error appears in the log.

Under Stores › Configuration › Mironsoft you define the default profile, the status of the copy, the maximum number of copies per run and the handling of the URL key. A separate ACL resource controls which admin roles may clone. Simple, configurable, grouped and virtual products are supported; for configurable products you choose whether variants are copied along.
