Magento 2 DATEV Export: accounting batches straight from the shop
With the Mironsoft Magento 2 DATEV Export you turn the invoices and credit memos of your shop into a posting batch in DATEV format that your tax advisor can import without rework. Accounts, tax keys and document numbers come from your settings instead of spreadsheets. The export runs with one click in the admin or on a schedule via cron.
Posting batch in DATEV format
Invoices and credit memos are written as a posting batch with header, advisor number and client number.
Chart of accounts mapping
Assign revenue accounts by tax rate, country and payment method, and debtor accounts by customer number or collective account.
Tax keys
Store the matching tax key for 19 %, 7 %, tax-free deliveries and reverse charge.
Document linking
The invoice PDF is attached to the posting so the advisor reaches the document with one click.
Credit memos and reversals
Credit memos appear as counter postings that refer to the original invoice number.
Period and repeat runs
Export by month or quarter, and documents that were already handed over are not written twice.
Why merchants use a Magento 2 DATEV Export instead of spreadsheets
Anyone who sells with Magento and keeps books in DATEV knows the month-end routine: orders are exported, rearranged in a spreadsheet, accounts are added by hand and the file is mailed to the tax advisor. Each step costs time and introduces errors in tax rates and document numbers. That is why merchants look for a Magento 2 DATEV Export that delivers the postings in the right format right away.
Core Magento knows neither charts of accounts nor tax keys. A Magento 2 DATEV Export therefore translates your invoices into posting records with account, counter account, tax key and document number. The tax assessment stays with your advisor; the module supplies a clean data basis for it.
Magento 2 DATEV Export as posting batch: invoices become posting records
The module reads the invoices of a period and writes one posting record per invoice into the export file. It contains the amount, debit/credit flag, account, counter account, tax key, document date, invoice number as document field and a posting text. Several tax rates within one invoice are posted separately, and shipping costs get a revenue account of their own.
- One line per tax rate, shipping posted separately
- Advisor number, client number and fiscal year in the header
- Posting text with order number and customer name is configurable
Account mapping for the Magento 2 DATEV Export: revenue, debtors, tax
In the configuration you define which revenue accounts apply to which tax rate and delivery country. Debtors can be derived per customer from the customer number or posted to a collective account per payment method. For intra-community deliveries and third countries you store accounts and keys of their own. Whether SKR03 or SKR04 is used depends on your bookkeeping.
- Revenue accounts by tax rate, country and customer group
- Debtor account from customer number or collective account per payment method
- Separate accounts for EU deliveries, third countries and reverse charge
Magento 2 DATEV Export with document linking and credit memos
Besides the postings the module can create a ZIP with the invoice PDFs, named after the document number. The advisor finds the matching document for every posting. Credit memos are posted with a reference to the original invoice, partial credit memos with the refunded amount. If you use an invoice module, its PDF is taken, otherwise the standard document.
- ZIP with invoice PDFs named after the document number
- Credit memos and partial credit memos as counter postings
- Reference to the original invoice in the posting text
Scheduled Magento 2 DATEV Export with a run log
You start the export in the admin for any period or let it run monthly via cron. Every run is logged, and invoices that were exported are flagged so nothing reaches the books twice. If an account mapping is missing for an invoice, the run does not abort but lists the affected documents in an error report. Optionally the file is sent by email to the tax advisor.
- Manual run or monthly via cron
- Export flag against duplicate hand-over
- Error report for documents without account mapping
Where the Magento 2 DATEV Export saves time in daily work
Typical situations at month-end and year-end closing in which the Magento 2 DATEV Export pays off.
Month-end closing
Instead of rebuilding spreadsheets the accountant starts the export, checks the error report and sends the file to the tax advisor.
Several store views and countries
Selling into several countries requires different revenue accounts and tax keys. The module assigns them by delivery country.
Tax audit
Documents are linked to postings and named consistently, which shortens the search for single invoices.
Change of tax advisor
The account mapping lives in the shop. A new advisor receives the same export with adjusted account numbers.

Delimitation from invoice PDF, order export and reports
The PDF invoice module from Mironsoft creates the invoice documents, the order export outputs order data in freely defined columns and the report builder evaluates figures for you. The Magento 2 DATEV Export serves a different purpose: it hands over postings in the format your tax advisor works with.
The modules can be combined. Tax assessment, choice of accounts and retention duties are checked by your tax advisor; the module implements your specifications.
