Magento 2 Customer Timeline: the whole customer history on one page
The Magento 2 Customer Timeline from Mironsoft adds a tab with a timeline to the customer form in the admin. It lists all events of a customer in the right order: orders and status changes, sent emails, tickets, reviews, sign-ins and notes from your team. Whoever talks to the customer sees within seconds what has happened so far. The module works in the Magento admin and leaves the Hyvä storefront untouched.
Timeline in the customer form
A dedicated tab with all events, newest first or chronological.
Many event sources
Orders, invoices, credit memos, emails, tickets, reviews, logins and newsletter.
Internal notes
The team records phone calls and agreements, with author and timestamp.
Filter and search
Narrow down by event type, period and keyword.
Permissions per event type
Use ACL to decide who may see which events.
Retention period
A cron job deletes old events after the period you define.
Why teams miss a Magento 2 Customer Timeline
By default, information about a customer is spread over many places: orders in one list, emails in a mailbox, tickets in another system, notes in heads or spreadsheets. Whoever has a customer on the phone clicks through five areas and still does not know what happened last. Teams therefore look for a Magento 2 Customer Timeline that brings everything together in one place.
With the Magento 2 Customer Timeline, support, sales and accounting see the same story. That saves queries, avoids double replies and makes handovers in the team easier.
Magento 2 Customer Timeline: which events it shows
By default the timeline contains orders with status changes, invoices, shipments and credit memos, registration and logins, newsletter sign-ups and unsubscriptions, reviews and the transactional emails logged by the module. Each event appears with date, type, a short title and a link to the original. Further sources, such as tickets from a helpdesk module, are connected through a provider interface.
- Orders, invoices, shipments, credit memos
- Registration, logins, newsletter, reviews
- Further sources connectable through a provider interface
Internal notes right in the timeline
Staff add a note with one click: a phone call, a promise, a remark on the payment method. The note appears with author and timestamp in the timeline and is visible in the admin only. Important notes can be pinned so that they stay above the list. Notes can be edited and deleted if the role allows it; every change is logged.
- Note with author, timestamp and optional type
- Pin important notes
- Edit and delete only with matching permission
Filter, search and export
For customers with many transactions the timeline gets long. You therefore filter by event type, by period or by a keyword in the title. The filtered view can be exported as CSV, for example for a data request or to pass on to accounting. The list loads events in sections, so that customers with thousands of entries stay fast.
- Filter by type, period and keyword
- CSV export of the filtered view
- Loading in sections for large histories
Permissions, retention and privacy in the Customer Timeline
Not every employee should see everything. Through ACL you define per event type which role may see it: for example payment events only for accounting. A retention period in days makes sure old events are deleted automatically. When a customer is deleted, the module removes the timeline as well. Which periods apply to your shop is something to clarify with your legal advisor.
- Permission per event type through ACL
- Retention period in days with cron cleanup
- Timeline deleted together with the customer
Where the Magento 2 Customer Timeline saves time in daily work
Four situations in which a complete picture of the customer makes the difference.
Support on the phone
The agent opens the customer and sees order, shipping email and the last complaint one below the other. The Magento 2 Customer Timeline replaces searching in several windows.
B2B sales
Before a conversation the timeline shows order rhythm, credit memos and recent contacts. Notes record agreements.
Complaints and disputes
All emails, status changes and notes are together with timestamps, which makes clarification easier.
Team changes and cover
Whoever takes over a case reads the history instead of asking colleagues.

How this differs from the order timeline and a CRM
The order timeline from Mironsoft shows the history of a single order. The Magento 2 Customer Timeline instead looks at the whole customer and combines all orders and further events. The two complement each other.
The module does not replace a full CRM with tasks, pipeline and campaigns. It delivers the overall view in the Magento admin, without additional software. The Hyvä storefront stays unchanged, no extra script is delivered.
No download — personal setup instead
Customer Activity Timeline is not listed here as a ready-made download file for self-installation. The purchase is a service commission: we get in touch after the purchase, install the module in your shop and agree on event sources, permissions and retention period together with you.
