01Validation before import

Check first, then write

A faulty CSV file can corrupt customer data with a plain "import and done" approach — duplicate email addresses, missing required fields, invalid customer groups. That's why every file is fully checked first, and the result is shown before anything is changed in the database.

A customer account is more than a name and email address. Import also carries over billing and shipping addresses as well as the customer-group assignment — important for B2B shops with different price groups per customer type.
